When Donald Trump picked Marco Rubio to be his Secretary of State

When ABC News reported that President-Elect Trump had picked Sen. Marco Rubio, (R-FL), to be his Secretary of State, Sen. Rubio became the most likely Cabinet appointee likely to get confirmed with overwhelming bipartisan support. Sen. Rubio's foreign policy credentials are impeccable. His love of Israel is unwavering. His belief in President-Elect Trump's peace through strength policies is part of Sen. Rubio's DNA.

According to the article, "President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday officially shared his intention to nominate Republican Sen. Marco Rubio for secretary of state. Rubio, 53, has served in the Senate since 2011. The Florida Senator is currently the vice-chair of the Senate Select Committee on Foreign Intelligence and also sits on the chamber's Committee on Foreign Relations." When it comes to credentials, Sen. Rubio's are similar to Mike Pompeo, Rubio's predecessor. If you're looking for someone more qualified, pack a big lunch pail. You'll be looking for awhile.

In a statement Wednesday, Trump said this:

Marco is a Highly Respected Leader, and a very powerful Voice for Freedom. He will be a strong Advocate for our Nation, a true friend to our Allies, and a fearless Warrior who will never back down to our adversaries.
That summarizes Sen. Rubio perfectly. Check this out: Harris Faulkner was on the Story when Trump finally made it official announcement of Rubio being his Secretary of State. Check out Harris's reaction:

Harris's reaction wasn't rehearsed. Harris's reaction was natural. That's because Sen. Rubio is well-trained in foreign policy, intelligence and the military. When he's pressed during his confirmation hearing, I won't be surprised if Sen. Rubio doesn't have any white papers on his table. He knows this stuff that thoroughly.

Sen. Rubio has the opportunity to be one of the best secretaries of state in recent history. Because of his thorough understanding of the military and their weaponry, he'll be effective in dealing with the Chinese and North Koreans.

Thanks to the fact that Sen. Rubio will be serving a serious president, will have the advantage of being taken seriously by our adversaries. That alone is an advantage thaty Antony Blinken didn't have.
