The House Democrats' stalling tactics

It's been obvious that House and Senate Democrats are digging into all the procedural tricks in their bag of tricks. I don't get upset that they're using these tricks. That's what's expected of the opposition party. That being said, I'm more than a little upset with Democrats for stalling a bill that will restore prosperity to the U.S.A.  After 4 years of Biden-imposed famine. Before the leftists cite the fact that unemployment was reasonably low, I'll remind these leftists that Bidenflation was high for 2+ years. The American people lost ground during the Biden administration. By comparison, the average American family gained ground financially. That's especially true with blue-collar or working-class people. But I digress.

The Washington Examiner is reporting "On Wednesday, Democrats led by the Congressional Black Caucus stood at a podium and called for unanimous consent for an amendment that 'protects against any cuts to Medicaid and [the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program],' which took over half an hour. A Democratic whip notice encouraged all caucus members to come to the floor and participate."

Democrats don't have the votes to stop tax cut bill that's focused mostly on the middle class. That's right. The tax cuts in this bill are things like no taxes on tips or overtime plus a significant tax reduction on Social Security benefits. Those aren't tax cuts for the wealthy. Further, AOC is full of BS when she said that Republicans had cut a deal with the devil:

Little in the bill cuts taxes for the rich. The tax cuts for the rich were part of the 2017 bill. Those tax cuts are permanent. That's why they aren't tax cuts. They're current policy.

House Democrats lined up in the House chamber to repeatedly demand amendments to Republicans’ "big, beautiful bill," one of many delay tactics the party can use to counter President Donald Trump’s landmark legislation.

The bill will likely pass during the night. Chad Pergram, FNC's chief correspondent on Capitol Hill, figures it'll pass between 11:00 pm ET and 5:000 am ET.

UPDATE: It turns out that Democrats aren't the idiots that are holding things up. Thanks to Thomas Massie, Andrew Clyde, Victoria Spartz, Andy Harris and Keith Self have voted no on the procedural vote. These wingnuts are the ones currently preventing the passage of this bill. It's time to primary these idiots. They're utterly clueless.

UPDATE II: The Big Beautiful Bill advances:

The House of Representatives has voted to advance President Donald Trump’s $3.3 trillion "big, beautiful bill" to its final phase in Congress, overcoming fears of a potential Republican mutiny. It’s a significant victory for House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., though the fight is not over yet.

Lawmakers voted to proceed with debate on the mammoth-sized Trump agenda bill in the early hours of Thursday, a mechanism known as a "rule vote", teeing up a final House-wide vote sometime later Thursday morning. The House adopted the rules for debate on the measure in a dramatic 219 to 213 vote, with all but moderate Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., voting to proceed.

I can't say that I watched the entire drama -- I couldn't. Around 12:30am CT, C-SPAN and Fox stopped live coveragge returned to regularly-scheduled programming, meaning middle-of-the-night repeats. I got this information from FNC's website. This drama is heading in the right direction but the deal isan;t sealed until 218 House Republicans vote for final passage of this bill.
