Democrats' Trump Derangement Syndrome, aka TDS, is getting tiresome

;Democrats failed in stopping President Trump's One Big Beautiful Bill, OBBB. Americans are rejoicing as a result of the GOP team getting the OBBB across the finish line Thanks to OBBB,waitresses and waiters will pay less in taxes. Thanks to OBBB, construction workers will see more money going into their accounts because they won't be taxed for working overtime. These are indisputable positives.

Despite that positive news, dishonest Democrats have unleashed a flurry of dishonest fundraising appeals. Nancy Pelosi issued a fundraising appeal, saying "House Republicans just voted to CUT Medicaid and food assistance for up to 20 MILLION vulnerable Americans, including their own constituents, to give tax handouts to billionaire CEOs. Tim, I don't say this lightly: This bill will usher in a dark and deadly moment in our country's history."

What's intentionally omitted from Ms. Pelosi's fundraising appeal is that economic growth within the working class will help put many Medicaid recipients back to work. Ms. Pelosi knows that but she's pushing the fearmngering angle in this fundraising appeal.

Then there's this:

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries sounded the alarm: "Tim, extreme House Republicans just approved the largest cut to Medicaid and food assistance in American history to fund tax breaks for their billionaire donors. The latest GOP stunt will rip healthcare away from 17 MILLION Americans, jack up our utility bills and take food out of the mouths of children, seniors and veterans. It's disgusting."
House Republicans just voted to prevent illegal aliens from receiving SNAP or Medicaid benefits. They also voted for major tax cuts that will put more money into people's pockets.

Further, when hiring picks up, more people will get their health insurance through their employers. Apparently, Democrats are used to their economic policies producing little growth. At least with President Obama, he had the excuse of inheriting a mess. Biden inherited a booming economy, then turned it into a recession:

There's little doubt whether this One Big Beautiful Bill will ignite the next Trump Boom. The basics are the basics. Trump's economy will ignite the next hiring boom.

Sometimes I think that Democrats fought this bill this hard because they're worried it'll work and they'll get discredited. The Democrats' strategy is almost neurotic. Their strategy apparerntly is to do anything needed to deny President Trump a political victory. It's apparent that doing what's right for the American people isn't on the Democrats' priority list.

If Democrats were truly worried about Medicaid cuts, old-fashioned Democrats like Daniel Patrick Moynihan or Hubert Humphrey would've offered an amendment to (in their minds) improve the bill in exchange for 10-15 votes for the bill in the House and 3-5 votes in the Senate. That offer wasn't made by Democrats. That's proof positive that they wanted the OBBB to fail.

By comparison, Lisa Murkowski, a part-time Republican, negotiated a deal to get money appropriated for Medicaid to rural hospitals. Whether you like her or not, she looked out for her constituents. That's what happens when you want get to yes as opposed to doing things to sabotage this important bill.
