Donald Trump, the president who listens edition
Why Trump won
President-Elect Trump won because his outreach expanded the new-and-improved GOP. The GOP is the working-class party now. Trump relates to blue collar people because he grew up on construction sites.
Further, Trump is comfortable in the company of minority employees. Lawrence Jones spent this summer travelling to diners and barbershops. Two weeks ago, he brought a special guest with him to a barbershop in the Bronx. The guest's name was Donald Trump. Watch how comfortable Trump is in dealing with the people in this video:
Most importantly, watch how calm he is in answering questions from the clientele. If you put VP Harris in a salon or other uncontrolled environment, she couldn't handle it. That's why she didn't do any interviews with tough-but-fair journalists. This isn't Bret Baier's interview with Harris but it's some highlights from his interview with her:Harris's Habits
VP Harris's staff recognized how she was doing during with the interview and cut it off early. The first thing I noticed is her habit of not answering the question she was asked but instead answering the unasked question. That's what frustrates potential constituents. They want their questions answered. That's what Trump does.
Promises Made, Promises Kept vs. Canned Answers
At one point in the interview, Harris said that people were tired with Trump's personality and chaos. Watch the people in the barbershop. They weren't tired of Trump. They kept the conversation going with Trump. They were interacting with him. He was interacting with them, too. That's why he won the national popular vote by 5,000,000+ votes. That's a big margin, especially in recent history. Obama and Biden were the only people exceeding that margin.
Democrats' Shortcoming
If Democrats don't start a) keeping their promises and b) listening to the people, they'll have a difficult time relating to the people. Most importantly, the people will shut them down. It wouldn't hurt if the MSM stopped coddling Harris. By not asking the difficult questions, they're setting her up for failure. This past Tuesday, We The Peoplee rendered a verdict on that type of journalism and that type of politicking.
