Why won't the MSM cover the Joe Biden scandal?

Is the MSM protecting Joe Biden like Merrick Garland and the FBI are trying to protect Hunter Biden? If they say they aren't protecting Scranton Joe, my first question at a rare Garland press conference would be "If you aren't protecting Joe Biden, what would you do different than what you're doing now?"

I wrote this article yesterday because John Ratcliffe highlighted specific things that the judge overseeing the case could reject the plea deal over. Several of the reasons include Gary Shapley's testimony given for his deposition before the House Ways and Means Committee. This morning, Miranda Devine wrote this article highlighting Mr. Shapley's bombshell testimony.

She wrote "Both strands are covered in Shapley’s bombshell testimony unsealed last week, and is backed up with new evidence he provided, including documents and messages retrieved from a search warrant of Hunter Biden’s iCloud, memorialized conversations of internal IRS and DOJ meetings and interview transcripts with associates of Hunter Biden."

Ms. Devine is the reporter who broke the Hunter 'Laptop from hell' story so she's literally written the book on Biden family corruption. In this article, Ms. Devine wrote this summarization:

Shapley provides further evidence to add to what we previously have reported, that Joe Biden lied repeatedly to the American people when he said he knew nothing about his son Hunter’s overseas business dealings.

In fact, as we have reported, Joe Biden met with Hunter’s foreign business partners on at least a dozen occasions. Shapley adds to the list with evidence that Joe joined Hunter and his business partners from the Chinese energy company CEFC at a lunch at the Four Seasons in Washington, DC.

SCHWEIZER: It's interesting. What is the line of communications between Hunter Biden and his business partners and Joe Biden when he was vice president of the United States? It's not the government phone. It's not Joe Biden's personal phone. We know from the laptop that Hunter Biden's business paid for a private phone line that Joe Biden used while vice president. It was from AT&T. It was $300 a month. It was a global phone where you could access someone from anywhere in the world. We shared that phone no. and that account information with people on the House Oversight Committee. My hope is, if they haven't already, they will subpoena those records because it will give an indication how tight the communication was.

I don't want to get ahead of myself but that information is potentially catastrophic to the Biden Family Crime Syndicate. If transactions can be traced to international phone calls to high-ranking government leaders that the Bidens are shaking down, that could be quite the puzzle, perhaps a puzzle that they can't untwist. The more electronic records are involved, the more difficult it is for people to deny where they are at any time. If you don't believe me, ask Alex Murdaugh. Thinking that you're metaphorically-speaking bulletproof causes complacency, which turns into sloppiness. That's a terrible trail to put yourself on.
