Kathy Hochul's performative art is simply virtue signaling

It hasn't been long enough since I last wrote about Kathy Hochul, New York's Democrat governor.  Just to make sure midwestern conservatives knew she hadn't faded into liberal oblivion, Gov. Hochul reached an agreement with her fellow Democrats to make New York "the first state in the nation to advance zero-emission new homes and buildings beginning in 2025 for small buildings, 2028 for large buildings."

When he announced that he's running for re-election, Joe Biden said "When I ran for president four years ago, I said we are in a battle for the soul of America. And we still are. The question we are facing is whether in the years ahead we have more freedom or less freedom, more rights or fewer." Telling people that they can't use a clean-burning, efficient form of fuel is the taking of a liberty. While Biden hasn't said that he's pushing for the elimination of natural gas lately, it's still his stated goal. This is society-wide suicide ordered by the state and federal governments. Hochul wants to be the first governor that virtue signals that she's the greenest governor in the nation. Joe Biden is planning on running on being the greenest president in U.S. history. They're just missing the fact that renewables can't supply the power we need to power society. Here's a report on Gov. Hochul's agreement with NY Democrats on this proposal:

It's time to let the idiots destroy states like New York, Minnesota and California. If they pass bills that shut down fossil fuel usage, then they should pay a society-wide price. Without paying a price, the stupidity continues. I haven't heard this much BS since the last time Joe Biden spoke:
"I promised New Yorkers we'd make our state more affordable, more livable and safer, and this budget delivers on that promise," Hochul added in a statement. "I am pleased to have reached an agreement with Speaker Heastie and Leader Stewart-Cousins on a transformative budget that improves public safety, transforms our mental health care system, protects our climate and invests in our children's future," she said.
Anyone think that Gov. Hochul and Mayor Adams will make New York State and NYC safer, respectively, is foolish. To modify a Joe Concha phrase, 'There's a better chance of seeing Adam Kinzinger at Mar-a-Lago than Kathy Hochul turning into a fierce crime-fighter.'
