Introducing the win-at-all-costs Democrat Party
When asked about lying about Mitt Romney's taxes, Harry Reid said "Well, they can call it whatever they want. Romney didn’t win, did he?" Does that sound like a man with regrets? It doesn't sound like it to me. He sounds like he couldn't have been happier. I wonder if he's happy with his eternal home.
Fast forward to last week's ruling in a lawsuit against the abortion pill mifepristone. Sen. Ron Wyden and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez are advocating for ignoring the ruling. Sen. Wyden said "I believe the Food and Drug Administration has the authority to ignore this ruling, which is why I’m again calling on President Biden and the FDA to do just that. The FDA, doctors, and pharmacies can and must go about their jobs like nothing has changed and keep mifepristone accessible to women across America. If they don’t, the consequences of banning the most common method of abortion in every single state will be devastating."
This is the authentic Harry Reid:
Democrats don't care about the rules. They care only about winning. If that means demolishing society, they're ok with that. Just ask Peggy Flanagan: Lt. Gov. Flanagan said "When children tell us who they are, it is our job as parents to listen and believe them. That's what it means to be a good parent." That's frightening. A parent isn't supposed to rubberstamp eerything their children do. That's beyond stupidity. Then again, it's what the DFL does to pander to trans voters. If Democrats need a conservative activist silenced to win a race, that's what they'll do. If Democrats need a corrupt politician protected, that's what the media will do. (See Joe Biden and Hunter Biden.) There's little that Democrats won't do to win.
Republican fossils like Mitch McConnell haven't bought into that yet. They'd better before it's too late.
