My letter to Joe Biden, energy edition

Each month, Joe Biden makes a speech about how good the economy is. This speech always happens on what I call jobs report Friday. In his monthly speech, Biden reminds people of how many jobs he's created. What Biden isn't admitting is that people's lives have gone downhill thanks to Bidenflation. What's needed is a dose of terrible reality, which this article provides.

The article opens by saying "As the first frigid weather of autumn chills the Northeast, many people are faced with a tough decision: deal with the surging costs of heating their homes or live without it. Home heating prices are skyrocketing yet again this winter, up 18% nationwide on top of last year’s 17% spike, according to the National Energy Assistance Directors Association (NEADA). Charmaine Johnson works in the call center at Philadelphia’s Heater Hotline, part of a non-profit that assists low-income families with their heating systems and bills. Johnson, 63, can relate to the concerns she’s hearing all day. She, too, is struggling to afford her heating bills."

Mr. Biden, people don't care how many jobs have gotten created when the jobs don't help them pay their monthly bills. Between the high home heating prices, the high prices of groceries, the baby formula shortage and choosing between heating and eating, nobody cares that the price of insulin will be cheaper 2-3 years from now.

With help from her son, Johnson just paid more than $1,000 to fill part of her oil tank, which she hopes will last her most of the winter.

Johnson says she doesn’t qualify for government assistance with her heating bills. As inflation also pushes up her food budget and other expenses, she is bundling up and keeping the heat turned down, hoping to stretch that oil for as long as possible.

"It’s miserable," she said. "It's like living in an igloo."

Baby formula shortages, potential black- or brown-outs in midwinter and through-the-roof gas prices (dropping prices from $5.10/gallon to $3.75/gallon isn't something to brag about) aren't proof that Bidenomics is working. Check out Biden bragging that he's shutting down coal-fired power plants:

Here's hoping you get the opportunity to sign the Let's make energy cheap again Act this winter. People want their paychecks to stretch farther each month. Thanks to Bidenflation, that isn't happening. I don't care if tackling inflation is your highest priority. That isn't enough. President Trump and his economic team implemented policies that kept inflation low. That's what we want. If you won't deliver rising wages and microscopic inflation (we demand both!), then we'll terminate your political career.

If that requires you to tell the Green New Deal idiots to take a hike, then that's what we expect you to do. We want our prosperity back!
