Democrats follow no-debate script, Part II

I had hoped that I was wrong when I wrote this post about Democrats avoiding debates. After reading this post on RedState, it's apparent that Democrats are either afraid of being questioned by their GOP opponents because they're too socialist, too inept as candidates or they're both.

This afternoon, Katie Hobbs, the Democrat candidate for governor in AZ, tweeted that she wouldn't debate Kari Lake, the GOP candidate. This isn't the first time Hobbs has refused to debate her opponent. According to the article, Hobbs "refused to debate her Democratic opponent in the primary as well." That's proof that Hobbs isn't confident in her ability to persuade people when going toe-to-toe with her opponent.

Top-tier candidates don't hesitate to debate. They're confident in their abilities to change people's minds because top-tier candidates think they're on the right side of the issues. If you have the opportunity to change lots of people's minds by debating, why wouldn't you make the most of that opportunity?

Apparently, Katie Hobbs isn't confident:

This strategy worked in 2020 for Joe Biden. I'm betting the American people won't get duped again.

Tim Walz's Confederate Flag Fiasco

After Minnesota's Democrats shoved the most controversial progressive legislation down Minnesotans' throats, gossip started popping up about Gov. Walz being interested in running for president . That's died off but Gov. Walz is still making headlines, this time for all the wrong reasons. First, Gov. Walz isn't the brightest bulb in the chandelier. Still, Gov. Walz is fighting against Minnesota's history. Maria Bartiromo's interrogation of Gov. Ron DeSantis

Yesterday, Maria Bartiromo interrogated Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday Morning Futures. The first half of the interview, Bartiromo asked policy questions. Gov. DeSantis showed his understanding of the issues and presented his solutions on everything from China, inflation and growing the economy. The first reply he had was to cut spending. His next reply was to open energy production. Third, he talked about the importance of increasing productivity, which he correctly said is the best way to eliminate inflation.
