Why didn't Tim Walz care about women allegedly killed by illegal aliens?
Why would Tim Walz care about their names? If he admitted that he knew them, he'd have to admit that sanctuary cities aren't safe. If that happened, it'd devastate the DFL. Davastating the DFL is as unforgivable to a DFL politicians as comitting mortal sins is to Catholics.
Rep. Boebert didn't stop there. Rep. Bobert then said "These are Minnesota women who were brutally killed by illegal aliens in your state. You don’t know who they are, so I would also assume that you did not attend their vigils or speak out to their families when they were brutally killed by illegal aliens in your state." While Rep. Boebert got the better of her interrogation with Gov. Walz, this didn't go well for Gov. Walz, either:
Overall, I'm thinking that this is a trip that Gov. Walz would rather forget. After what he didn't do in terms of fraud prevention, though, I'm hoping that this trip lingers with him awhile. On a sidenote, a Democrat on last night's Almanac Roundtable said behind-the-scenes negotiations were starting. The deal, we were told, was that the GOP would supply enough votes to pass a bill that would "repay" businesses that were "hurt by Operation Metro Surge," meaning that GOP votes would be required to help businesses that hired lots of illegal aliens that went into hiding when ICE started enforcing this nation's immigration laws.If businesses want to hire so-called cheap labor, that's their decision. Their decision, their risk. Ember Reichgott-Junge spun it, saying that damages done through Operation Metro Surge is a major issue:
Here's my message tto the GOP: Not a single vote to subsidize businesses hiring illegal aliens. With risk comes responsibility. That's on the business. If the DFL stopped raising taxes and stopped spending $$$ foolishly, we'd have businesses that could afford to pay great wages. Put differently, the DFL needs a totally different economic model.
