Rand Paul's paranoia gets exposed
First, I don't hesitate in calling our war with Iran a war. They've committed so many acts of war against the U.S. that I won't waste your time listing them. Instead, I'll cite Iran's taking over the U.S. Embassy in Tehran on Nov. 4, 1979 as the initial act of war. If Sen. Paul thinks that's too long ago, that's fine. Next, I'll cite Iran's attempted assassinations of President Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former National Security Advisor John Bolton in the past 3 years.
If Sen. Paul says that that's still too long ago, I'd simply ask where the statute of limitations is found in the Constitution as it pertains to presidents exercising their authority of being commander-in-chief. I don't there's such a provision in the Constitution. So much for that worthless excuse.
Next, why does Sen. Paul think that we'll still be dropping bombs while we're celebrating our nation's 250th Anniversary? Is he THAT PESSIMISTIC? Does he have that little faith in our military? Or is it that he's just a bundle of pure negativity? I'm betting Option C. This is disgusting:
Sen. Paul said this:There've been many reasons floated for the war.President Trump has consistently stated that "Iran can never have a nuclear weapon." President Trump has also consistently said that they can never terrorize the Middle East again. Personally, I'd throw in that the mullahs will die immediately if they threaten a senior official of the U.S. federal government.
Finally, Sen. Paul's understanding of the Constitution isn't as good as he thinks it is. He's a legend in his own mind. It's time to primary him and get rid of him for a real senator.
