DFL is pro-illegal immigration, Medicaid fraud
The DFL just voted to prove that they're the pro-illegal immigration party and the pro-Medicaid fraud party. The DFL just voted to not conform with federal law. According to the article, "Democrats in the Minnesota House of Representatives blocked legislation that would clean state Medicaid rolls, remove Medicaid eligibility for noncitizens, and codify Medicaid work requirements. That legislation would bring Minnesota into conformity with federal law."
That would likely cause CMS, aka the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, to cut off Medicaid funds to Minnesota. Further, this DFL stunt would likely trigger another intensive investigation into Minnesota's Medicaid programs. Minnesota has been caught defrauding Minnesotans and other federal taxpayers on Medicaid programs. If the Trump administration penalizes Minnesota for not complying with federal law, Minnesotans won't give the DFL the benefit of a doubt. That's gone after throwing away an $18,000,000,000 projected surplus, then looking away from a minimum of $9,000,000,000 of Medicaid fraud. Rep. Jeff Backer summarized things beautifully:
Speaking about the need for federal conformity, Republican Rep. Jeff Backer said "when the parent, the federal government, gives you money, they [set] the guardrails. I think it’s a huge irresponsibility if we do not conform with [OB3]." Backer warned that nonconformity would harm Minnesota’s healthcare system "to the tune of anywhere from three, three-and-a-half-billion, and more."If the DFL doesn't conform to OB3, that'll reconstruct Minnesota's deficit. It's worse that the DFL will have rebuilt it unnecessarily. Nick Shirley started the firestorm: The DFL Trifecta also raised taxes by an additional $10,000,000,000 at the same time that they were spending the projected $18,000,000,000. Couple that with the DFL's $9,000,000,000 in Medicaid fraud and you're approaching $35,000,000,000. Add in $5,000,000,000 in additional projected deficits and you're over $40,000,000,000 in reckless spending and/or Medicaid fraud.
That cements Tim Walz's legacy as being one of the worst governors in U.S. history.
