Tim Walz's surveillance state?
Not that this surprises me but it took the NY Post to report on Tim Walz's alleged surveillance state. If I'm going to get new information on Tim Walz's alleged surveillance state or about the latest developments on the fraud front, I have limited options. It's either Alpha News, Lou Raguse or A.J. Lagoe at KARE11, Bill Glahn at Powerlineblog or at the Center for the American Experiment or I have to go out-of-state. That's literally my list of options.
According to the NY Post article, "Government whistleblowers who reported widespread fraud in Minnesota were retaliated against on the job by having their vacations and promotions denied — and their every keystroke at work monitored, The Post has learned." While that's disgusting, it isn't that surprising. With doorbell cams and other monitoring equipment, it's inevitable. The article continued, reporting "Rep. Kristin Robbins, a Republican who chairs the state’s Fraud Prevention and State Oversight committee, told The Post that whistleblowers who have come forward to report fraud to her committee and to their agencies claimed to be 'electronically surveilled' after news stories about the Somali daycare center scams went viral."
"The group of whistleblowers that I interact with claim that they’ve been denied vacations, promotions, and that it’s hurt their careers," said Robbins, who is running for governor against the incumbent and former Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz. This fits into a pattern. The Walz administration has repeatedly denied the severity of this crisis. The Walz administration hasn't shied away from bulllying people, though. The Walz administration's public face is friendly. The Walz administration's face to whistleblowers, I suspect, is definitely more harsh.
“As recently as a couple of weeks ago they told me that every time [fraud] flares up [in the news] they can tell — two of them their job is in the IT world — can tell that they’re being surveilled on the computers in the department’s chat function for words like ‘fraud’ or ‘reporting’ and there’s sort of a chilling effect of knowing that they are looking for people who are talking about fraud,” Robbins said. The DFL is constantly praising itself for how well it treats union employees. Based on the NY Post's reporting, the DFL is treating THESE PUBLIC EMPLOYEE UNION EMPLOYEES like dirt. How typical of Tim Walz. He's all image, no substance. In the end, Tim Walz and the DFL will undercut anyone that threatens their grip on power. If that means that they have to undercut a major part of the DFL's political base, that's what they'll do. It's that simple.
