People have right to ask has Tim Walz done anything right?

Friday, Minnesota DFL Gov. Tim Walz appointed Tim O'Malley to be Minnesota's Fraud Czar after months of Medicaid fraud went undetected. Now that his re-election is imperiled, Gov. Walz is paying attention to the situation. Investigative reporters like Powerline's Bill Glahn, Lou Reguse and A.J. Lagoe of KARE11 and Eric Challoux of KSTP have been uncovering fraud story after fraud story for months. Interim U.S. Attorney Joseph Thompson has been prosecuting cases for 2 years. Just now, Gov. Walz has paid attention to fraud? Unfortunately, that's just the start of Minneapolis's bad news. The Epoch Times is reporting that "More than 400 illegal immigrants have been arrested in Minnesota by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as part of Operation Metro Surge, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) said in a statement on Dec. 12." The article continues, saying "Operation Metro Surge targets the 'worst of the worst' illegal immigrants who had flocked to Minnesota, assuming the state’s 'sanctuary' politicians would protect them, DHS said."

Here's a partial list of criminals arrested:

Among the arrested were a Burmese national convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct using force or coercion, a Somali convicted of robbery, a Laotian convicted of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under 13, and an Ecuadorian national who was previously arrested for assaulting a police officer, DHS said.
It's the Policies, Stupid!

The first role of government, whether at the federal, state or municipal level, is to protect its citizens. Minnesota and Minneapolis failed with that responsbility.

Operation Metro Surge:

Some of the people arrested have filed lawsuits. How far that'll get them is anyone's guess.
There has been pushback from officials in Minneapolis and Minnesota over the federal government’s enforcement operations. In Minneapolis, the City Council unanimously approved a stronger version of its "sanctuary city" ordinance on Dec. 11 amid the federal government’s illegal immigration crackdown.
Why the Minnesota and Minneapolis governments want to protect these criminal aliens is beyond me. Do they want their people endangered? Apparently, these jurisdictions don't have their priorities straight. How sad.

Proof that Tim Walz doesn't care about fraud or other crime

Anyone that thinks that Tim Walz, Minnesota's DFL governor, doesn't care about preventing crime or fraud hasn't read this article . Alpha News is reporting that "The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) has confirmed that Dylan Adams, the fiscal policy analyst caught on video vandalizing Teslas in Minneapolis, is still employed by the state — meaning Minnesota taxpayers are footing the bill for his salary. In response to Alpha News inquiries, a DHS spokesperson said: "Dylan Adams is a current employee." Apparently, the Walz administration doesn't care that it's employing a vandal in its Department of Human Services. As for whether Adams "has faced consequences for racking up more than $21,000 in damage during work hours , the agency offered little transparency.
