Tim Walz's corrupt status quo
Let's first admit that Minnesota needs significant change. Next, let's admit that several major government departments need a major 'housecleaning' to get rid of the corruption that'sa built up in these departments.
Specifically, I'm talking about major housecleanings for the Minnesota Department of Education, aka MDE, and the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Both are definitely in need of getting rid of corruption. MDE is rumored to have 'run' the Feeding Our Futures fraud opportunity racket. For those of you who've been in a coma the past decade, Feeding Our Futures was supposed to help feed hungry out-of-school children during COVID. The problem is that most of the children that the program served didn't exist except on paper. More than 50 grifters have either been convicted of fraud or have pled guilty of fraud. Apparently, more audits are planned:
Rep. Marion Rarick's statement highlights Gov. Walz's corruption:"I'm deeply disappointed Democrats failed to fulfill their constitutional duty to select University of Minnesota Regents during the 2025 session," Rarick said. "Not only did they neglect a responsibility they were elected to carry out, but last May 21 – two days after the regular session ended but before the special session occurred – the Democrat higher education chairs sent a secret letter to the governor informing him of their preferred picks for regents. Thanks to Gov. Walz, corruption, fraud and the statuas quo are prospering in Minnesota state government. Bernie Sanders is right in saying there's an oligarchy governing in the U.S. Bernie just got it wrong tht Trump is the oligarch. It's Gov. Walz that's the authoritarian/oligarch."This allowed Walz to hand-pick four regents, two of whom never went through the rigorous Regent Candidate Advisory Council process nor legislative vetting. I raised concerns long before last session’s end and confirmed with House staff that the election process was ready to move forward. Instead, Democrats stalled, giving the governor the opportunity to reward political allies rather than appoint candidates chosen through a fair, transparent process. Not one Republican-backed finalist was appointed despite a tied House. This is a blatant example of Democrats using partisan politics to override what’s best for all Minnesotans."
