The Democrats' continuing fundraising crisis
Saying that Democrats have a fundraising/cash-on-hand crisis is repetitive. It isn't news anymore. Alpha News is reporting "Weighed down by lingering debt from the 2024 presidential election and low donor enthusiasm, the DNC reported just $15 million on hand by the end of June, marking the lowest number for Democrats in five years, according to Politico. By comparison, the Republican National Committee (RNC) reported nearly $80 million on hand, creating a gap nearly twice as wide as it was at the same point in President Donald Trump’s first term."
That's just part of the story. Alpha is also reporting "The DNC spent $15.8 million on expenses tied to former Vice President Kamala Harris’s failed 2024 presidential campaign. The Harris campaign reportedly ended with approximately $20 million in debt, after burning through roughly $1.5 billion in just 15 weeks to take on Trump."
That still isn't all that's horrific for Democrsts. Check this out:
The super PAC affiliated with President Donald Trump's raised $177 million in the first half of 2025, new fundraising reports show — with GOP megadonors, key Trump allies (including some government officials), big business, a secret-money group and the mother of a man who received a presidential pardon among those filling the group's coffers ahead of next year's midterms.President Trump isn't doing too bad for a supposed lame-duck president. The simple truth is that Democrats are switching parties because people have noticed that the closest thing that Democrats have to a leader are Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom. What money person gets excited with 'leaders' like that? If I was rich, I wouldn't contribute to Democrats, either. This is a report that the DNC must hate: The Democrats' fundraising crisis is partially fueled by the Democrats' lack of political talent. When the Democrats' pair of presidential frontrunners are Kamala Harris and Gavin Newsom, you're in trouble.Even in an era of overflowing money in politics, the massive sum sticks out. It is a sign that Trump's political operation will continue to wield major influence even though Trump himself is barred by term limits from running for president again.
