Dispirited Democrats definitely defeated

Democrats involved in the confirmation process must be feeling dispirited, demoralized and defeated. Why wouldn't they feel that way? Democrats have relied on Crazy Mazie Hirono, Adam Schiff, Tammy Duckworth and other creatures from the fever swamps to take down Pete Hegseth, Pam Bondi and John Ratcliffe. While Democrats have constantly been on the attack, President-Elect Trump's nominees have picked their spots to defend themselves. Mostly, they've stood their ground.

These Democrats are intellectual midgets compared with President-Elect Trump's nominees. President-Elect Trump's nominees, collectively, are telegenic, fast on their feet and this nation's best-and-brightest. At this point, I'm comfortable predicting that the Senate will confirm all of President-Elect Trump's cabinet secretary nominees.

For instance, this Dailywire article speaks glowingly of Pete Hegseth. In the article, Ben Shapiro wrote "Democrats thought they were going to be able to get Pete Hegseth in the crosshairs and then do serious damage to him and to Republicans for having nominated him. Boy, were they wrong." Yes, these Democrats were playing in a different stadium. I can't feel sorry for them because they built this problem for themselves. So be it. They made their bed. Now it's time for these Democrats to sleep in it.

The article continued:

Hegseth was great. Not just good — but great. Iconically great.

Yesterday, in front of the Senate Armed Services Committee, Democrat after Democrat lined up to attack him, particularly on his personal life. And Hegseth weathered it like a champ. He came back at them when they made particularly stupid statements, and he said some things that needed to be said.

This is a very different Secretary of Defense nominee. Not only did Hegseth actually serve in the infantry, not only is he a graduate of Harvard and Princeton who is quite bright, but Hegseth also has the perspective of the guy on the ground doing the fighting. He is not a political general who’s elevated through the ranks for being able to get along with his superiors.

Watch Adam Schiff attempt to bully Ms. Bondi:

Instead of acting like a shy little wallflower, Ms. Bondi at one point replied "You were censured by Congress, Senator, for comments just like this."

In other words, Sen. Schiff is just as arrogant as Congressman Schiff. He doesn't have a hint of integrity or a hint of intelligence. He should've been an astronaut because all he does is take up space. But I digress. Let's return to Pete Hegseth.

While the Committee vote hasn't happened, which means that the floor vote is about a week off, the simple truth is that Pete Hegseth will be the next Secretary of Defense. Sen. Curtis, RINO-UT), might or might not vote for Hegseth. I don't care at this point. Joni Ernst is voting for Hegseth's confirmation, which likely means Collins and Murkowski will vote for Hegseth's confirmation. That puts him over the top. This is my favorite part of the Hegseth hearing:

Enjoy.
