The American people's message to politicians

It's been 3+ weeks since Donald Trump regained the title of President-Elect Trump. Since then, tons of ink and toner have gotten spilled while pundits/consultants have insisted they know what's happened that produced a decisive verdict on who they want leading the U.S. and the various states. Quite frankly, quite a few messages were sent the night of Nov. 5, 2024. Most of those messages haven't been listened to.

One of the messages sent this election was that politicians don't listen enough to the people. President-Elect Trump's forgotten man isn't a schtick. These people actually exist. They showed up by the millions to scream that they existed and that they don't like not being listened to.

Election Day's biggest messages

Biggest message: I'm frustrated and I won't tolerate you ignoring what I've told you repeatedly. Each election is a reaction to the previous election. They're also forward-looking.

Hint to Democrats: It isn't enough to essentially tell me 'Orange Man bad.' That doesn't tell me what you'll do to fix America's problems. I don't care if he's bad if he fixes America's biggest problems.

Hint to Republicans: You've made some big promises. Now it's time to ditch all of the different caucuses and come together to fix some huge problems. First, build the wall. Next, extend the Trump tax cuts. Third, deport criminal aliens as fast as possible. Fourth, deport all asylum-seekers who've had their case adjudicated and who've been told that they aren't eligible for asylum. They need to disappear from the U.S. Fifth, Drill, Baby, Drill! Liquid gold is the nickname and wealth creation is the game.

Energy independence and energy dominance will drop prices virtually immediately. The middle class can't wait for cheaper home heating bills and cheaper groceries.

This guy clearly doesn't get it:

We'll reject good wages when they're tied to inflation and tas hikes every couple of years. Ken Martin is the chairman of the DFL, aka the crazy socialists of Minnesota. BTW- he's proud of Tim Walz.

Ken Martin's disconnect

In his tweet, Martin said this:

Our policies are popular in red, blue, and purple states alike. That includes paid leave, good wages, and affordable housing.
Apparently, Martin thinks that government is where we get these supposedly 'popular' things. Let's be clear about something. I'm not interested in government-mandated things. I'm interested in things that I choose for myself. I'm interested in government making neighborhoods safer, the roads smoother and the military being lethal. After that, I want government to get the hell out of my kitchen (think gas stoves, dishwashers and lightbulbs).

Donald Trump blasted VP Harris by being the candidate who gave people a choice, not an order. New York's Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul wants to ban gas stoves: <0/p>

Tim Walz already signed a bill that will make Minnesota carbon free by 2040. People like Ken Martin, Tim Walz and Kathy Hochul think that climate change is an existential threat. They're willing to trash our economy with tons of environmental regulations. It's time to end that charade.

In 2026, let's hope that the people fire the people who won't listen to We The People.
