Election 2024: Now it's up to We The People

As the final hours drain from the hourglass on Election 2024, the Trump campaign and others have put together some compelling closing argument ads to inspire us. Nicole Shanahan, RFK Jr.'s onetime running mate, put together this ad to X. Steve Cortes posted this ad on X. Both ads are inspirational. They remind us that dreaming big is what Americans do. Then we achieve those big dreams. That's part of what I call our American DNA. That's who we've been for 200+ years. Pessimists see problems. Optimists see challenges to be met.

When DHS Secretary Mayorkas was asked about the crisis on the border, he downplayed it, characterizing it as a challenge. That's because he didn't intend to fix the Biden-Harris administration's open border. The Biden-Harris administration wanted oppen borders. This wasn't a mistake. It was a feature.

Donald Trump has run a fantastic campaign. Aside from Harris getting under his skin at their debate, he's stayed pretty disciplined. The RNC has put together a fantastic GOTV team for the battleground states, especially in Pennsylvania, where they've battled Democrats to a draw on GOTV. Trump has the edge on the biggest issues (immigration, inflation and men in women's locker rooms).

It's up to us!

That puts the fate of this nation in our hands. Call me old-fashioned but I still trust in We The People. I just checked to see whether my mail-in ballot had been received and accepted. It was. I've done my job. Now it's up to my fellow patriots to take this ship into port. It's time for We The People to re-elect President Trump. Sean Hannity put it nicely during this interview:

Vote! Vote! Vote! We can't do everything prior to Election Day right, then botch Election Day. I've said this before but I'll repeat it here: This is when history is made. We need to ace this test. If we don't get this right, we're screwed. There isn't another nation that can save us. It's up to We The People. If we get this right, it'll be a great downwpayment on restoring the American Dream.

What is Kamala Harris afraid of?

Apparently, Kamala Harris suddenly loves debating. Let me rephrase that. Harris loves debating as long as the moderators are partisan hacks. She wants nothing to do with a debate moderated by Fox's Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum. She's afraid of Bret and Martha because a) they'll either fact-check both her and Trump or they won't fact-check either of them and b) Bret and Martha aren't afraid of asking follow-up questions. To a candidate whose answers are scripted and who isn't quick on her feet, the last thing you want is a follow-up question. Kamala fears follow-up questions like vampires hate wooden stakes, sunlight and holy water. Why has Kamala Harris avoided Fox News like the plague? The moderators/propagandists fact-checked Donald Trump aggressively but didn't fact-check Harris . Why didn't David Muir and Linsey Davis fact-check both candidates equally? Why is Joe Biden letting Hamas off the hook?

It isn't disputable whether Joe Biden's administration is letting Hamas off the hook. That issue was settled months ago, when a spineless Joe Biden caved to activists interested in saving Hamas and thwarting the Israelis' attempt to defend themselves. Gerard Baker's op-ed highlights what's at stake for the U.S. if the terrorists are permitted to survive.
