Joe Biden out, Kamala Harris in; a sideways swap?
Now that Kamala Harris has enough delegates to become the Democrats' presidential nominee, it's time to figure out if Democrats are better off today. Thankfully, Mark Penn and Andrew Stein have written this op-ed on the subject. To say that their op-ed isn't filled with compliments is understatement. Stein and Penn open their op-ed by saying "Joe Biden has done the right thing at perhaps the wrong time, paving the way for Vice President Kamala Harris, but don’t expect any wholesale changes in the dynamics of the presidential race.
After that, Penn and Stein open both barrels, saying "Mr. Biden should never have run at all, and it is a tribute to the power of the Democratic machine that he advanced as far as he did. Absent the loony idea to have a 90-minute debate before he formally secured the nomination, he likely would have cruised onto the ballot and been kept under wraps until October."
Then they dropped the hammer on Harris:
Had he withdrawn a year ago, when he should have, there would have been a full primary process and an election, not a selection as we have here. The result of that process would likely have been a Harris nomination. The last four Democratic vice presidents—Hubert Humphrey, Walter Mondale, Al Gore and Mr. Biden—all became presidential nominees, though only Mr. Biden won. This is the key sentence:
there would have been a full primary process and an election, not a selection as we have here.Obama and Soros hate free and fair elections. Manipulation is their preference. Getting empty vessels selected into positions of authority is another of their preferences. When Joe Biden picked Kamala Harris to be his running mate, it's likely that he picked her for her ethnicity, gender and her love of criminals: She even called BLM "brilliant": I can think of lots of adjectives to use in conjunction with BLM but brilliant isn't one of them. FINAL QUESTION: would rank-and-file Democrats pick VP Harris as their presidential nominee if they knew she praised sex offenders (Jacob Blake) and racist organizations (BLM)?
