With Hunter Biden's trial, the facts aren't important

According to Bill McGurn's latest column, evidence and truth aren't that important. He wrote "The two cases have one crucial fact in common. The law and the truth are incidental. They are important only for the Biden family story lines each case represents." Hunter's laptop, the one that 51 former top spies "has the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation", was introduced into evidence in Hunter's trial by an FBI agent. The FBI agent verified that the contents weren't tampered with and it was Hunter's laptop.

As this article states, "the 51 former 'intelligence' officials who cast doubt on The Post’s Hunter Biden laptop stories in a public letter really were just desperate to get Joe Biden elected president. And more than a year later, even after their Deep State sabotage has been shown again and again to be a lie, they refuse to own up to how they undermined an election."

That article led to this famous NY Post front page:

This interview shows how slippery CIA agents are:

Later in the article, McGurn wrote this:
"Look, there are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what this, he’s accusing me of, is a Russian plant," Mr. Biden said. "They have said that this has all the characteristics—four, five former heads of the CIA, both parties, say what he’s saying is a bunch of garbage. Nobody believes it except him and his good friend Rudy Giuliani."

Not quite. As it turns out, the Biden Justice Department believes it too. Since the last election, we’ve learned from testimony by former CIA Deputy Director Mike Morell that the intelligence officials’ statement was done at Antony Blinken’s impetus to "help Vice President Biden." Mr. Blinken was then senior adviser to the Biden campaign. He is now secretary of state.

I believed Miranda Devine's investigative reporting immediately because her investigative reporting over the years has been impeccable. I'd put her up there with John Solomon, Sara Carter and Gregg Jarrett in terms of investigative reporters.

The (Biden) fix is in. Joe can't call Trump a felon, then have Trump call Hunter a felon, too. The difference is that Trump's 'conviction' will be overturned on appeal. Hunter's conviction won't be overturned. Hunter's conviction would only be erased by Daddy's pardon.
