What will Jake Tapper and Dana Bash ask Joe Biden about border security?

When Martha Raddatz interviewed Elizabeth Warren on This Week about border security, Warren didn't have a straight answer. Sen. Warren just started spinning. First, Raddatz asked Warren "President Biden, I know he wanted that immigration bill to pass, that bipartisan, but there have been more than 6.9 million apprehensions at the southern border thus far in Biden’s term. There were just over two million in Donald Trump’s entire term. What did the president do wrong?"

That startled Sen. Warren, who replied "No, this isn’t about what the president did wrong. Remember, on the very first day that he was sworn into office, President Biden asked Congress both for the resources and for comprehensive immigration reform. The Republicans blocked it, blocked it, blocked it, blocked it. Until last fall—" Raddatz interrupted, replying "But Donald Trump didn’t have that either, Senator. He didn’t have that either and there were two million during his entire term." Apparently, Democrats, including Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden, haven't figured out that the key isn't comprehensive immigration reform:

In Trump's 4 years in office, the border was secure. Just 2.09 million illegal aliens crossed the TX-Mex border. That's compared with 2,370,000 illegal aliens that crossed in FY2022 and compared with 2,475,000 illegal aliens that crossed in FY2023, the last 2 full fiscal years of the Biden administration.

Drawing Conclusions

  • Most likely, comprehensive immigration reform is the Democrats' dodge for securing the border.
  • Comprehensive immigration reform isn't required since Trump fixed the border without it.
  • Democrats might not be interested in border security since they were given the blueprint for securing the border.
Questioning Decisions
  • How committed are Democrats to border security?
  • How committed are Democrats to fighting migrant crime?
  • Are Democrats interested in preventing violence? Thus far, I don't see proof of that.
The time for comprehensive immigration reform is over. Here's why:

Without Trump's wall, the rest crumbles. Democrats aren't interested in finishing the wall. They want more voters. Period. This tells the story:

Finally, I don't know if Martha Raddatz' interview will cause Tapper and Bash to ask tough immigration questions of Biden. I hope they ask him difficult questions but I'm not betting on it.
