The Trump fundraising machine keeps rolling

Until just recently, I didn't know that much about David Sacks. I now know that he's one of the co-founders of Craft Ventures. Thanks to this tweet, I now know that Sacks has endorsed President Trump and stated why he's endoring Trump. According to the tweet, Sacks supports Trump because of the economy, foreign policy/Ukraine, border security and the issue of lawfare.

Thanks to this Fox Business article, I now know that Mr. Sacks is using his position in Silicon Valley to build an impressive campaign warchest for Mr. Trump's campaign.

First, let's talk about why Sacks supports Trump. On the economy, Sacks wrote "President Biden took over an economy that was already recovering strongly from the Covid-induced shock of Q2 2020. Demand had roared back, and employment had recovered. But he chose to keep priming the pump with unnecessary Covid stimulus – almost $2 trillion of it, passed on a straight party-line vote in March of 2021, with trillions more to follow for 'infrastructure,' green energy, and 'inflation reduction.'"

The inflation that was released as a result of the Biden-Pelosi spending spree resulted in high interest rates and smaller profits, especially in Silicon Valley. Then there's this:

As a result of Biden’s inflation, average Americans have lost roughly a fifth of their purchasing power over the last few years. Moreover, any American who needs a mortgage, car loan, or credit card debt faces much higher interest costs, which further constrain their purchasing power.
Working Class Joe has made life worse for the middle- and working-class.

Next, let's talk about the fundraising:

"When we agreed to do this event, we started off– the question was whether we could just raise $5 million, and that was the goal because as you well know, the Bay Area, is sort of a liberal bastion, and so we thought that $5 million might be a big lift," Sacks said.

Instead, the fundraiser co-hosted by Chamath Paliphapitiya ultimately wound up bringing the Republican presidential candidate quite a bit more than that – a $12 million haul, as previously reported by Fox News. It occurred Thursday in San Francisco.

This interview is worth watching:

Thus far, it's obvious that Biden's lawfare strategy isn't working. Trump is raising money like no other candidate in history. Trump's horserace numbers keep improving, too. In the latest Fox News Poll, Trump leads Biden in Arizon, Florida, Nevada and Pennsylvania and he's tied with Biden in Virginia. Most impressively, Trump is above 50% in each of the battleground states he leads in. If that holds throughout the summer, Biden could be looking at major difficulty.
