Donald Trump's 'Return of Hope' Speech

Saturday evening in Philadelphia, PA, Donald Trump delivered the best speech of his political career. For the first 45 minutes of the speech, Trump focused like a laser on migrant crime and illegal immigration. During the first 45 minutes, Trump told the excited audience that he'd shut the border on Day One. Thanks to the Democrats' unwillingness to shut the border, Trump said that the people are weary of all the Migrant Crime. Trump said that the people need hope. Then he implied that he's there to restore hope to the people.

This was, by far, Trump's best speech in over 4 years. During 2020, I stopped watching Trump's speeches because they were lengthy, rambling, incoherent messes that didn't focus on what the people wanted to hear. Last night's speech, which I'm titling Trump's Return of Hope Speech, first laid out why the people are feeling weary.

Trump told the story of an illegal alien "who Joe Biden set loose into our country approached two 13-year-old children with a machete in broad daylight, and like a scene from a horror movie, he forced them into the woods, tied them together by the wrists and raped the young girl at a park in Queens while filming it on camera." This is that part of Trump's speech:

Trump lays out his plan for retoring hope and stability: Next step: 2016 Trump

When Trump first arrived on the scene in 2016, Trump preached the gospel of America first, remembering America's forgotten man, drain the swamp and build the wall. We knew that he could be a bit abrasive at times but we liked his policies for the most part. Finally, we learned that he was a fighter.

Trump 2020

By 2020, we'd learned that Trump had a bad habit of sending out nasty tweets at all hours of the night. Further, we'd learned that these tweets got in the way of his great policies. We'd learned that he meant it when he said "America First." That's because he lived it.

Trump 2024

This year's Trump is disciplined, inclined to outreach and sympathetic to families who've lost loved ones. When Laken Riley was murdered in Georgia, Trump invited the family to his rally in Atlanta, then sat down with them to see how they were doing. When Rachel Morin's murderer was allegedly caught, Trump personally called Rachel's mother and spoke with her for 30+ minutes. This year's Trump is compassionate, disciplined and consistent. He's still a mile ahead of Biden policywise. Most importantly, Trump's mind is still all there. Joe Biden's mind isn't all there, regardless of what KJP says.

Finally, this year's Trump is a happy warrior. While he won't be another Reagan, he's still a far cry from Biden's sourpuss attitude.
