8 ISIS-related terrorists captured by ICE

Thank God for Joe Biden's executive order. If not for Biden's EO, the border might still be open. If not for that timely EO, terrorists from Tajikistan and other terrorist-harboring countries might still be using Trump's open borders to enter the U.S. Thanks to Biden's serious approach to fighting terrorism, the U.S. is a safe nation.

Truthfully, Biden has been a world class screw-up when it comes to national- and homeland-security. Truthfully, when Biden took office, the TX-Mex border was the most secure border it's been in my adult lifetime. All he had to do was nothing. Unfortunately, he failed at that. But I digress.

USA Today is reporting that ICE "agents in recent days arrested eight foreign nationals in the U.S. suspected to have ties with the terrorist group ISIS, a U.S. official familiar with the investigation confirmed." All 8 allegedly were "fully vetted" when they illegally entered the U.S. Supposedly, these terrorists were caught at the border, then released into the U.S. Paul Mauro's interview highlights the flaws with Biden's immigration system:

As Mauro correctly asks, what does "fully vetted" mean? Is it just a nice-sounding phrase used during disasters? Is it a well-thought-out process that's used to make sure terrorists and other dangerous people don't sneak into the U.S.? It's safe to admit it isn't the latter.
The eight individuals were detained on immigration charges from New York, Los Angeles and Philadelphia. Each is from Tajikistan and entered the U.S. at the southern Mexico border, the official said. They remain in U.S. custody.

The official said no derogatory information was detected about the individuals during their initial screening at the border but the U.S. later learned information that tied them to ISIS. They don't currently face any terrorism charges.

Why would anyone expect these types of countries to have cooperative vetting systems that work seamlessly with U.S. Homeland Security? Further, that's just from Tajikistan. Why wouldn't we think that countries like China, Iran, North Korea and Russia to play vetting games with the U.S.? In fact, why shouldn't that be expected?
The ICE arrests were made in coordination with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Forces. "The individuals arrested are detained in ICE custody pending removal proceedings," the Department of Homeland Security and FBI said in a joint statement.
DHS and the FBI should save the paper statement. It's meaningless. Instead, change the policies. It's time to get serious. Bill Melugin is at it again: Without Bill Melugin, we wouldn't have a fraction of the information that we've currently got. The frightening part of the OIG report is the part that says "CBP can't access all federal data to complete thorough screening and vetting." So much for the Tajikistan 8 being "fully vetted."
