Border security in a nutshell

If you listen to White House Karinne Jean-Pierre, aka KJP, the border is Republicans' fault. That's because Republicans didn't vote for the Bipartisan Open Borders Bill. That's why I recommend that you not pay attention to KJP. Other dishonest Democrats will insist that Republicans are making a mountain out of a molehill.

The reality is that this issue is a legitimate mountain. Tied into this issue are crime, city budgets getting destabilized and cities themselves getting destabilized. El Paso, especially, is the personification of what's hurting Democrats. This article highlights the ongoing fight between TX Gov. Abbott and Joe Biden. This isn't a fight that Biden is winning.

The article reports "Just as illegal immigrants rushed the southern border in El Paso, Texas, the Biden administration is locked in a months-long legal battle with Gov. Greg Abbott over a controversial anti-illegal immigration law."

Gov. Abbott is doing whatever he can to protect his citizens. Meanwhile, Biden took Gov. Abbott to court to prevent Gov. Abbott from protecting Texans. The question now is whether this will hurt the Democrats' uphill fight to flip Ted Cruz's Senate seat and/or whether this helps Republicans flip some border districts in the House. Will that El Paso, TX event help put Mayra Flores over the top against Vicente Gonzales or is this unforced mistake enough to topple Gonzales?

The Republican Party, Rep. Gonzalez said, has a history of being too "racist" and "divisive" to gather a wide support base from Latinos.

"If they didn’t have that racist, divisive element within their party, they would have a lot of Latinos, but they can’t seem to shake that off,” the representative continued. "The rhetoric you hear from the Republican Party is shameful and disgraceful for Latinos. And you know, when you see ‘Latinos for Trump,’ to me it is like seeing ‘Jews for Hitler,’ almost, you know?"

Biden neglecting his responsibility of protecting Texans looks like this:

This is why you can't trust KJP:

Let's get serious about the border. The Senate Bipartisan Open Borders Bill is filled with loopholes. That's why Democrats support it. Democrats know that this bill won't fix the border.

The question isn't why House Republicans won't support a bill that, for the most part, preserves the status quo but takes a step sideways on other things. The question is why Chuck Schumer won't bring HR2 up to a vote. HR2 isn't a messaging bill. HR2 fixes major border security problems without creating loopholes. Plus it builds the wall.

This lawsuit is a joke:

The move was immediately targeted in a lawsuit by the Biden administration in January. The administration said the law encroached upon federal immigration enforcement.

"[Texas’] efforts, through SB 4, intrude on the federal government’s exclusive authority to regulate the entry and removal of noncitizens, frustrate the United States’ immigration operations and proceedings, and interfere with U.S. foreign relations," the Department of Justice said in its January lawsuit.

When the federal government won't protect its citizens, states have the right to protect their citizens. The above video is footage of an invasion. States have the right to protect themselves in instances of invasions. The Biden administration hasn't protected against illegal border crossings. Biden himself apologized for calling an illegal alien an illegal alien:

He's here illegally. He isn't undocumented. He's here illegally. If you won't admit the problem, you can't fix the problem. It's that simple.
