Joe Biden's Iran appeasement finally kills U.S. soldiers
Republicans are skeptical of Biden's resolve in the matter, starting with Sen. Tom Cotton, (R-AR). Sen. Cotton issued this harshly worded statement. He opens the statement by saying "Joe Biden emboldened Iran for years by tolerating attacks on our troops, bribing the ayatollahs with billions of dollars, and appeasing them to no end. He left our troops as sitting ducks and now three are dead and dozens wounded, sadly as I’ve predicted would happen for months. The only answer to these attacks must be devastating military retaliation against Iran’s terrorist forces, both in Iran and across the Middle East. Anything less will confirm Joe Biden as a coward unworthy of being commander-in-chief."
I'm confident that qualifies as a scorched-earth statment. I don't disagree with a single part of it. Check this out:
This 'news report' is a joke: This administration's go-to move is to warn of potential escalation in the region, whether it's in Ukraine, the Middle East or elsewhere. If you hit Iran hard enough and you tell them that overwhelming lethal force is the option of choice, combined with strong economic sanctions, if U.S. troops are killed, there won't be an escalation. PERIOD. This isn't acceptable:My statement following the Iran-backed attacks in Jordan that killed three U.S. service members and injured 25: pic.twitter.com/L8ckks5ch4

Mr. Biden said the attack happened at a base in northeast Jordan, a U.S. ally, close to the border with Syria. A U.S. official said the attack occurred at an outpost known as Tower 22, where roughly 350 U.S. Army and Air Force personnel are deployed, according to the Department of Defense.37 of 350 is approximately 15% of the troops stationed at that base. The fact that they were killed in their sleep is infuriating beyond belief. The commander of that base should be relieved of duty immediately. Further up the chain of command, the Appeaser-in-Chief should be fired this November. U.S. soldiers' lives depend on that.U.S. Central Command, which oversees forces in the Middle East, initially put the number of injured at 25, but two U.S. officials soon said that figure had risen to more than 30. CENTCOM confirmed later Sunday night that at least 34 had been injured. Eight of the wounded service members had to be evacuated — some were in critical condition but all were stable, a defense official told CBS News.
The killed and injured troops were in their sleeping quarters on the base when the drone strike took place in the pre-dawn hours.
