Donald Trump's loyalties questioned

Shooting from the lip hip is one of Donald Trump's specialties. He isn't especially consistent in telling the truth. This time, Mr. Trump "called for a Republican to challenge Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas) Monday night, even though the filing deadline to enter the congressional contest passed last week." This isn't especially surprising, considering the fact that Trump's loyalties are situational at best. By comparison, Chip Roy's loyalties are principled. Chip Roy's loyalties are principled, just like Gov. Ron DeSantis, Rep. Roy's endorsed preference for president.

It's long past time to start calling Trump out as too dishonest for the job of president. Trump's almost as dishonest as Hakeem Jeffries, Dan Goldman or Jamie Raskin. Not surprisingly, Trump's dishonesty was captured forever when Trump took to Truth Social to say "Has any smart and energetic Republican in the Great State of Texas decided to run in the primary against RINO Congressman Chip Roy. For the right person, he is very beatable. If interested, let me know!!!"

First, calling Chip Roy a RINO is like calling Trump disciplined. Next, saying that Roy is "very beatable" is like saying that Walter Mondale had a legitimate shot at defeating Reagan in 1984. I won't call Trump an outright liar but totally comfortable calling Trump dishonest.

Trump has been publicly critical of Roy since he voted to affirm Biden’s Electoral College victory on Jan. 6, 2021. Roy called Trump’s actions "clearly impeachable conduct" in the immediate aftermath of the riots at the U.S. Capitol, though he ultimately voted to not impeach Trump.
Last night, Roy and Gov. DeSantis were interviewed by Kayleigh McEnany. It's worth checking out:

Ask yourself this: does Roy sound like a RINO? Or does Trump sound like a RINO with his proposed amnesty bill that Paul Ryan sponsored?

Trump promised to build the wall and have Mexico pay for it. He failed on both counts. Now he's calling one of the most conservative members in the Freedom Caucus a RINO. QUESTION: Do words mean anything to Trump? Or are they just tools he uses to bamboozle voters with? Either way, Trump isn't a trustworthy person. There's tons of examples proving that. Steve Deace nails it in this tweet:

  1. Donald Trump has no loyalty to question. His first, last, and only loyalty is to Donald Trump. Period.

    1. It's a rhetorical statement. Chill a little, ok?
