Joe Biden's war against freedom continues

Nobody has mistaken Joe Biden as intelligent. People haven't mistaken Biden as a constitutional scholar, either. People that love the Constitution cherish freedom. Joe Biden definitely doesn't fit that description. It's time for people to stop tolerating Biden's war against freedom. In its current manifestation, Biden's war against freedom is another chapter in his war against appliance choice.

Friday, the Energy Department said that "the U.S. will fund nine projects with $169 million from last year's climate bill to speed manufacturing of heat pumps, systems that can heat and cool homes and businesses more efficiently." This morning, I woke up in a home whose furnace wasn't working. The room temp had dropped to 62 degrees so I called a repair guy. The furnace is back working properly. While the repair guy was here, I asked him about heat pumps. He told me that they're efficient until the temperature drops into the 20s. They're pretty much worthless after that. After that, he said you'd still need a furnace.

This requires a lawsuit

The awards are the first from the department's authorization invoked by President Joe Biden using emergency authority on the basis of climate change to employ the Cold War-era Defense Production Act (DPA) to boost spending on clean energy technologies.
Good luck proving that there's a climate emergency. I'd file a lawsuit to prevent this money from getting spent. This is spending money foolishly. Remember that the next time you vote. This is money that the Democrats voted for. No Republicans voted for this spending monstrosity. Then there's this BS:
"Getting more American-made electric heat pumps on the market will help families and businesses save money with efficient heating and cooling technology," said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. "These investments will create thousands of high-quality, good-paying manufacturing jobs and strengthen America’s energy supply chain, while creating healthier indoor spaces through home-grown clean energy technologies."
Rep. Bill Johnson nails it in this interview:

If the Biden administration insists on shoving these restrictions down our throats, they'll have a fight on their hands. First, these restrictions eliminate the people's right to choose how they'll heat their homes. When the news first broke about the Biden administration's plan to eliminate gas stoves, the Democrats insisted that they weren't coming for gas stoves. The Biden administration, with considerable help from congressional Democrats, said this was fiction. That's a pile of BS. I quoted from Kim Strassel's column when I wrote this post. She wrote:
"The reason gas stoves are in the news is simple: There is a coordinated, calculated—and well-funded—strategy to kill them off. It’s the joint enterprise of extremely powerful climate groups, working with Biden administration officials who have publicly stated their aim to eliminate all 'combustion appliances' in homes. Only after the GOP called them out did anyone pretend otherwise."
Democrats always do the right thing ... when it's the only option left. Joe Biden is the exception, though. I'm not certain he's done the right thing when it comes to fighting for freedom. Fighting for his climate change agenda is Biden's highest priority. Look at this report:

Climate change is a national security issue? This sounds like a chance for a lifetime Senate nobody to have a legacy similar to FDR's or LBJ's. How fitting. They didn't fight for freedom, either.
