Joe Biden's threat to self-governance, freedom

Joe Biden can't resist the opportunity to impose his will on the American people. Biden's dirty little secret is that he's an autocrat. This morning, he cited the Defense Production Act as his authority for "injecting government cash into American production of electric heat pumps, an alternative to gas-powered household furnaces." My question is simple: where's the data that shows electric heat pump provide enough heat in colder temperatures? What happens when temperatures dip into the teens or lower?

Last week, I had to get some work done on my furnace. I spoke to the repairman about electric heat pumps. He told me that they're effective until the temp drops below freezing. After that, he said, you'll need a furnace.

This is just another front in Biden's war on fossil fuels. Getting rid of gas furnaces goes hand-in-hand with getting rid of natural gas in Biden's mind. Biden cited the DPA to instruct manufacturing companies what they’ll manufacture. That doesn’t sound like liberty to me.

Jennifer Granholm is best-known for this laugh:

Secretary Granholm issued a statement. This is what it said:
"Getting more American-made electric heat pumps on the market will help families and businesses save money with efficient heating and cooling technology. These investments will create thousands of high-quality, good-paying manufacturing jobs and strengthen America’s energy supply chain, while creating healthier indoor spaces through home-grown clean energy technologies."
That's a pile of BS. Biden says when he thinks of the Green New Deal, he thinks "jobs, jobs, jobs." When I think Green New Deal, I think of wasted taxpayer funding and bankruptcies, aka Solyndra. It's a taxpayer-funded boondoggle. That's the worst kind of boondoggle. This is proof:
The DOE will transfer millions of dollars to firms such as Copeland, Honeywell International, Mitsubishi Electric, and York International Corporation, all of which are billion-dollar global corporations, under the moves announced on Friday. The initiatives will help to develop the manufacture of industrial, commercial, and residential heat pumps.

"This is absolutely shameful corporate welfare. But we’re to believe that, because it’s for the sake of climate change, all is well. I think that’s ridiculous," Ben Lieberman, a senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, told Fox News Digital in an interview.

This is inflationary as well as a waste of money. Paying off multi-national corporations with our taxes isn't the picture I think of when I think of fighting for the little guy. It's what I think of when I picture corporate welfare.

Apparently, Scranton Joe died. Apparently, he's been replaced by K Street Joe. This is how Democrats strip us of our freedoms. These Democrats aren't looking out for our best interests. They're looking out for their special interest allies.
