Bidenomics quantified

The next time Joe Biden, Jared Bernstein or KJP tells the American people that Bidenomics is working, I'd recommend throwing some reality in the Democrats' face. The best way to do that is to use this report that the U.S. Senate Joint Economic Committee Republicans just published.

According to CBS's reporting, "The typical American household must spend an additional $11,434 annually just to maintain the same standard of living they enjoyed in January of 2021, right before inflation soared to 40-year highs, according to a recent analysis of government data." Also contained in the article is a sentence saying that the report "taps government data such as the Consumer Price Index and Consumer Expenditure Survey to examine the impact of inflation state by state."

Joe Biden isn’t fooling anyone when he tells people Bidenomics is working. He might get away with that BS when talking with families solidly entrenched in the middle-class or perhaps if they’re part of the upper middle class. The people who won’t buy that are part of the lower rungs of the income ladder. They know that they’re juggling bills and finances while trying to make it from paycheck to paycheck.

While this segment didn't get into inflation as much as I've seen other segments, it explains a number of things:

This is both troublesome and fascinating: Charles Payne quantifies Bidenomics by saying "Atlanta: many reported ongoing difficulties to cover basic household needs. ... Here's a good one. Low and moderate income consumers were piecing it together to meet the needs for good winter clothing in anticipation of winter housing."

The usual metrics don't mean anything when people are facing these types of difficulties. Reports won't change people's realities. Joe Biden's protestations mean nothing to families that're worried about being homeless by mid-winter.

TV talking heads are solidly entrenched in the middle class or the upper middle class. They aren't experiencing things the same way retirees living on a modest fixed income experience things. The other thing that Payne said that isn't in the video is that, while wages are rising, hours worked is shrinking, meaning that families' incomes aren't increasing.

That's Bidenomics quantified.
