Ron DeSantis, the "Active Executive"

It isn't a secret that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is the smartest candidate in the presidential race. As proof, Gov. DeSantis can point to the fact that he's a graduate of Yale and Harvard Law School. After that, Gov. DeSantis joined the U.S. Navy and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

After that, DeSantis served as a legal adviser to SEAL Team One. Gov. DeSantis did these things before being deployed to Gitmo in 2006, then Iraq in 2007 before the age of 30. With a resume like that, it's easy to think of Gov. DeSantis as a self-made man.

That apparently bothers thin-skinned people like Donald Trump, who thinks that he's responsible for Gov. DeSantis's meteoric political rise. That's quite ironic considering the fact that then-Pres. Trump endorsed then-Rep. DeSantis before DeSantis announced his candidacy for Governor.

According to this report from CBS News, "President Trump has endorsed Republican congressman Ron DeSantis for Florida governor. Mr. Trump tweeted Friday that DeSantis is "a brilliant young leader." DeSantis has yet to announce a bid for the job, but the Florida Republican was on Fox News moments before the president tweeted his endorsement."

Mark Levin obviously thinks highly of Gov. DeSantis:

It isn't overstatement to say that Gov. DeSantis has done more to help U.S. citizens than Joe Biden and Mr. Trump combined. That's especially true if the U.S. citizens were trapped overseas after the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. It wasn't Trump's responsibility to get people home from Israel. Trump got a person home from Israel. Biden got U.S. citizens out of Israel and over to Cyprus or Greece, then told them they were on their own after that. Then he sent them bills for getting them from Israel to Greece or Cyprus. Gov. DeSantis got almost 700 people home from Israel to Florida. Most were Floridians but some weren't. Then he didn't send them a bill for getting them out of Israel.

Other than that, Gov. DeSantis didn't do much. Well, that's unless you consider shutting down Florida chapters of Students for Justice in Palestine doing something. Before the ACLU whines about that violating these students' First Amendment rights, Gov. DeSantis argues that "they see no difference between themselves and Hamas. 'We're standing in solidarity with Hamas.' They say they are the same movement as Hamas. Well, that's different. You don't have a First Amendment right to provide marterial support to terrorists' so we have de-activated the Sudents for Justice in Palestine groups on campuses."

Then there's the difference between Gov. DeSantis and the Biden administration:

I don't have to worry if Gov. DeSantis will be pro-Hamas if he becomes president. Comparatively speaking, Joe Biden has already shown his pro-Hamas stripes during this crisis. Biden isn't pro-Israel. He's publicly pro-Israel but privately anti-Israel. The Jack Lew nomination is proof of that. It's time to elect a smart, pro-Israel president in Nov., 2024.

I'd settle for Trump over Biden but I'd enthusiastically pick Gov. DeSantis over both Biden and Trump combined. Biden is corrupt and incompetent. Trump is competent. Gov. DeSantis is ethically clean, highly competent and energetic.

The question that Trump bootlickers need to ask themselves is this: why settle for a man who's easily distracted, has failed in draining the Swamp and who didn't finish building the Wall when you have the option of voting for someone who signed the Heartbeat Bill, the Parental Rights in Education Bill, got his citizens home from Israel even though it was the State Department's responsibility and who shut down anti-Semitism in his state to the fullest extent possible?
