Joe Biden pickets with the UAW
Recently, Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg got into a fight over EVs with Scott Perry regarding the building of EVs. Secretary Buttigieg's primary argument was that we have to win the race to building EVs because, otherwise, China will build them. Chairman Perry didn't say this so I will: if China wants to demolish their economy, and it appears they do at this point, let them.
This isn't a race to see who builds the next great invention. It's just another idiotic idea pushed by this administration. But I digress. Let's head back to Detroit to check in with Joe Biden at the UAW picket line. When Shawn Fain handed the bullhorn to Joe Biden, I'm sure Biden's staff worried what he'd say off-prompter. Here's Joe's brief exhortation to the faithful:
I didn't notice it when I watched it live but WOW! Biden looks incredibly frail. His voice was just short of mumbling. His stage presence was minimal at best. He's deteriorating quickly. At this point, there's no reason to expect the UAW getting anything close to the contract that they're pushing for. Biden's administration has stripped the UAW of its leverage by pushing EVs. Why would the Big 3 automakers agree to a megadeal with the UAW with the prospect of an all-EV future looming? That isn't doing something risky. That's volunteering for a game of Russian Roulette.
This is our Time For Choosing. We can choose Biden's malaise, mediocrity and feeble-mindedness. We can choose Gov. DeSantis's competence and wisdom. The real solution to the UAW strike is getting rid of Biden and his obsession with EVs. Keeping Biden's special interests in charge of policy is guaranteeing terrible outcomes.
If you think that Biden's policies are the right elixir, name anything he's getting right. Bidenomics? The Border? Crime? Afghanistan? What a clown show.
