Democrats' attempt to silence RFK Jr. fails

I didn't think I'd see the day when Democrats would attempt to silence a member of the First Family of the Democratic Party, the family that gave us Camelot and supply-side economics. I'm referring to the Kennedy family. The Democrats made a motion to move the House Permanent Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of Government into executive session with the hope of not letting RFK Jr. testify before the Committee in open session.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz made the motion. Rep. Thomas Massie made the motion to table Ms. Wasserman-Schultz's motion. In the end, the Massie motion prevailed on a straight party line vote of 10-8, meaning that Rep. Wasserman-Schultz's motion was tabled.

That wasn't the only time that Democrats attempted to silence RFK Jr. At another point, Ranking Member Stacey Plaskett got into an argument with Subcommittee Chairman Jim Jordan. Jordan "mentioned he might get additional time given some witnesses getting additional time in the past. That set Plaskett off. 'Let’s just squash the time for all the witnesses, then,' Plaskett said in a snippy fashion. Jordan then said sarcastically, pointing out her goal, 'And if you want to cut him off and censor him then, you’re welcome to.'"

Plaskett has a nasty temper, which is why House Minority Leader Jeffries assigned her this committee position. This is how Plaskett behaves during this Committee's hearings:

This is the explosive exchange between Ms. Plaskett and RFK Jr:

Ms. Plaskett is technically true. She didn't attempt to censor RFK Jr. Instead, she tried talking over RFK Jr. while he attempted to defend himself from the Democrats' vicious attacks.

It's painfully obvious that Democrats plan to run the nastiest campaign in U.S. presidential history. FDR once famously said "All we have to fear is fear itself." Today's Democrats are totally different. All these Democrats have to offer is fear itself. There was a time when Democrats were the 'Party of Ideas'. That was when Bill Clinton was president and when Daniel Patrick Moynihan was the senior senator from New York. Those policy wonks left in 2001.

The Democrats have been the 'Machine Party' ever since. That isn't a compliment. Instead of being led by men like Bill Clinton and Daniel Patrick Moynihan, they've been led by dirtbags like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer and Harry Reid.
