Chuck Grassley vs. the FBI

After Chuck Grassley released an FD-1023 document, the FBI expressed its outrage that Sen. Grassley, (R-IA), made public a document that isn't classified. CNN is reporting that "Republicans, including Grassley and House Oversight Chairman James Comer, have been pushing for the FBI to publicly release the document, which the bureau has declined to do. Comer had even threatened to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt until the two sides reached a last-minute agreement."

Spare me the faux outrage. This is the FBI that wouldn't confirm that the document even existed. Then the FBI admitted that it existed but that only the House Oversight Committee chair and ranking member could see it in a SCIF. Finally, the FBI 'allowed' the document, which hasn't been classified, to be viewed by the entire committee.

Miranda Devine's article highlights the various stages of outrage directed at the FBI, DOJ, David Weiss and Merrick Garland. Ms. Devine wrote "It is an outrage that FBI Director Christopher Wray tried to hide this so-called FD-1023 document from congressional Oversight Committee members."

Then there's this:

It is an outrage that Delaware US Attorney David Weiss buried it again when provided with the document in 2020 by Attorney General Bill Barr, after it had been vetted as credible by the US attorney in Pittsburgh. Weiss inexplicably hid the FD-1023 from IRS and FBI investigators working the Hunter Biden criminal probe.
Thanks to Sen. Grassley's decision, Americans can read the entire FD-1023. If the FBI is upset, that's their problem. If Weiss is upset with the release of this FD-1023, that's his problem. He shouldn't have hidden the document from IRS and FBI investigators.

After Minnesota's Democrats shoved the most controversial progressive legislation down Minnesotans' throats, gossip started popping up about Gov. Walz being interested in running for president . Yesterday, Maria Bartiromo interrogated Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday Morning Futures. The first half of the interview, Bartiromo asked policy questions. Gov. DeSantis showed his understanding of the issues and presented his solutions on everything from China, inflation and growing the economy. The first reply he had was to cut spending. His next reply was to open energy production. Third, he talked about the importance of increasing productivity, which he correctly said is the best way to eliminate inflation.
