Open Letter to Joe Biden

To: Joe Biden or whoever reads his mail when he's having a bad day (any day that end with the letter Y)

From: Gary Gross, weary patriot

Subject: Lots of different stuff

Joe, please stop giving public speeches about Bidenomics. Either that or stop insisting that the economy is doing well. Our paychecks don't stretch as far as 2+ years ago. It isn't close actually. The CPI has slowed from its high of 9.1% but it's still high. When a 6ft. tall, 175 lb. guy gains 50 lbs., people notice in a hurry. His physician likely will tell him to change his diet and lose weight. If that guy gains another 25 lbs., that guy can't walk into his physician's office and convince his physician that 'at least I'm doing better. You still gained another 25 lbs.

The story still is that you still haven't figured out how to curb inflation and lower prices. If that doesn't happen ASAP, we'll be in worse shape 6 months from now. If you don't fix the inflation problem, we'll throw you out in November, 2024. We don't care how many jobs you've created. We care about our quality of life.

Let me put it this way. Having bills left at the end of my paycheck month-after-month sucks! We don't care about climate change supposedly being an existential threat. Right now, Bidenomics is an existential threat. No, making inflation your highest priority means nothing. I said FIX IT! I MEANT IT!

As for Ukraine, it isn't good enough to support them in their war against Russia. That's how 20-year wars get started. Give Zelenskiy what he needs to win. I know you hate Reagan but his motto on his strategy towards the Soviets is still wise. It was "Simple. We win. They lose." Give Ukraine the weapons they need to drive Putin's military out of Ukraine. After that, we can talk peace. Or not. As long as Russian troops are out of Ukraine, that's the important part.

Finally, open the fossil fuel spigots. Strong economies are powered by cheap and abundant fossil fuels. Without cheap and abundant fossil fuels, economies underperform. That's how industrialized nations work.

Final finally: when you have time after shaking down corrupt world leaders with your son and brothers, watch this video:

PS- After you're done watching Milton Friedman explain why capitalism builds societies, do one last thing. Now that Hunter has admitted that Navy Joan Lunden is his daughter, I'd suggest that you and Jill take a trip to Arkansas and introduce yourselves to your 7th grandchild. That'd be the right thing to do.

I still won't vote for you but recognizing your 7th grandchild is the right thing to do. It might even be a life-changing event.
