Keith Ellison, 14 other attorneys general remind Target of civil rights obligations

Keith Ellison is part of 15 state attorneys general that are reminding Target of their obligations to the LGBTQIA+ community. In their letter, these state AGs state "LGBTQIA+ Americans have faced an increasing number of politically motivated attacks over the past two years. A number of legislatures around the country have adopted laws barring public schools from discussing LGBTQIA+ identity, limiting gender-affirming care, prohibiting transgender individuals from using bathrooms or playing on sports teams aligned with their gender identity, and restricting drag performances."

Their letter continues, saying "At the same time, the LGBTQIA+ community has also increasingly been targeted by harassment and hate, including escalating threats of violence and a spike in baseless and pernicious accusations that LGBTQIA+ individuals seek to abuse or convert children."

Let's be clear about this. These children don't reach the conclusion that they're anything other than what they were born as without the 'help' of a groomer. Groomers can be anyone that you might trust -- a trusted teacher or other authority figure, etc. Ask a 5-year-old what he/she thinks about sexual identity and you'll likely get a blank stare. Despite those facts, Democrats like Ellison insist that there's an expanding need to protect 5-year-olds from their parents.

Here's Target's statement:

For more than a decade, Target has offered an assortment of products aimed at celebrating Pride Month. Since introducing this year's collection, we've experienced threats impacting our team members' sense of safety and well-being while at work. Given these volatile circumstances, we are making adjustments to our plans, including removing items that have been at the center of the most significant confrontational behavior. Our focus now is on moving forward with our continuing commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community and standing with them as we celebrate Pride Month and throughout the year.
This KARE11 news segment is quite telling:

You guys want to promote pedophilia of little kids? Do you guys support the sexualization of kids? Those are 2 of the questions asked in this video. The first question was asked of Target shoppers, the other question was asked of a Target employee. Are these questions uncomfortable to answer? Without question. Can Keith Ellison bring criminal charges on these shoppers? Nope. The questions are legitimate questions protected by the First Amendment. Can they be banned from shopping at Target? Definitely. That's part of Target's right to refuse service.

If AG Ellison attempts to intimidate these shoppers with criminal charges, don't be surprised if a civil rights law firm files a lawsuit against AG Ellison and puts him through a living hell until Ellison cries uncle.

The minute these people say that they want their attorneys, Ellison is obligated to stop questioning them. Period. To the people asking the difficult questions: don't answer a single question if your attorney isn't there. Period. Don't trust any of AG Ellison's attorneys. Their job is to create a process crime if a real crime doesn't exist.
