Is Donald Trump a strong candidate in the general election?

Donald Trump's strategy is crystal clear. Trump's overarching strategy is this- 'everyone should clear the field because I'm inevitable. Why waste the time if you're going to lose anyway?' Trump's shills (I'm looking at you, Mark Simone.) play their role by suggesting that Ron DeSantis has a great chance at the nomination ... in 2028. Simone actually said that last night on Kudlow.

With all due respect to Mr. Simone, those of us who watch these things have noticed that Trump's polling isn't that strong, especially in battleground states.

One thing that GOP voters are thirsting for is defeating Joe Biden. If the election were yesterday and the GOP defeated Biden, it wouldn't be soon enough. We want him and Kamala out yesterday, if not last year. It's that simple.

Kurt Schlichter's column takes a few shots at Trump. For instance, Schlichter writes "Trump presents himself as unbeatable with an insurmountable lead, though his lead has slowly been surmounted. It’s dropping, but DeSantis’s numbers do not yet seem to be rising. Trump clearly knows who his main target is, and it’s not Mr. Friendly Tim Scott, Pious Pence, Establishment Nikki, or Trump’s tech bro Mini-Me Vivek. The Florida governor has a winning record and a bunch of achievements, and in typical Trump fashion, they go right at his strong points. COIVD hero? No, DeSantis was a COVID zero because of reasons, and ignore those videos of Trump hugging the Fauc and also MEATBALL!" Now, let's return to that first question. Who has the best shot at defeating Biden? Let's look at this:

That's stunning. If the GOP wants to win in November, 2024, the only way to win is to nominate Gov. Ron DeSantis. While Gov. DeSantis defeats Biden in the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania, Biden defeats Trump in each of those states. If Trump doesn't flip Arizona and Georgia back into the red column, Trump's toast. That isn't the outcome we want, is it?

I've said for months that Trump is a loser. This video of Trump's interview with Bret Baier proves that he thinks he's smarter than he realizes and that his talents are vastly overrated:

Bret Baier just annihilated Trump in that little 95-second video. To the idiots like Mark Simone, this is why you look stupid shilling for Mr. Trump. In that interview, Trump showed that he's a not-that-smart narcissist with less-than-stellar talent evaluation instincts. Other than that, Trump's mediocre.
