Trump Derangement Syndrome turned inside out edition
Earlier this week, Trump attacked Kayleigh McEnany because she said on Fox that Trump's lead in Iowa was 25 points, not 34 points like Trump wanted. On Truth Social, Trump said "Kayleigh “Milktoast”McEnany just gave out the wrong poll numbers on FoxNews. I am 34 points up on DeSanctimonious, not 25 up. While 25 is great, it’s not 34. She knew the number was corrected upwards by the group that did the poll. The RINOS & Globalists can have her. FoxNews should only use REAL Stars!!!"
What a nasty thing to say about the spokesperson who did the best job of defending Trump's indefensible statements. Trump's statement is inexcusable becuase Kayleigh was right. Trump led by 34 in April but led by 25 in May, not that details matter to Trump.
That loyalty to Trump apparently meant nothing to Trump. Contrast that with Trump's absurd statement to talk radio host Jenna Ellis that he's "a very big believer in loyalty" right before saying "Somebody gets you in, you sort of be loyal to that person" in reference to Gov. DeSantis. It's apparent that loyalty is 100% slanted towards Trump but that Trump's exempted from reciprocal loyalty.
If you thought that Trump was coming unhinged in his criticisms, you ain't seen nothing yet. Check this out:
"DeSanctimonious is now making a show of promising to fire FBI Director Christopher Wray, but DeSantis voted FOR Wray’s confirmation in 2017, praising him as ‘talented, capable & highly respected,'" the campaign wrote in a tweet, less than a week after DeSantis vowed to replace Wray if he's elected president. In 2015, Trump said that he'd only hire the best. That Truth Social tweet was from his campaign team. If that's Trump's definition of hiring the best, then he's a blithering idiot. The House doesn't vote on cabinet confirmations. I learned that in 7th-8th grade. These paid professionals still don't know that basic constitutional fact? That's frightening. There's no way these people are 'the best.' These people are hacks who shouldn't get hired to work on a legislative race. This interview might've set Trump off: Kayleigh McEnany asked Gov. DeSantis some fair questions. Then Gov. DeSantis said that he'd defeat leftism. To someone with an ego like Trump's, that's gotta set him on fire.
