Ron DeSantis vs. Woke Disney, Donald Trump; Woke Disney vs. Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis

Apparently, Donald Trump finally figured out what Gov. Ron DeSantis figured out literally months ago. On Sunday, Trump finally realized what Gov. DeSantis was fighting against. When Gov. DeSantis engaged in a fight for Florida's children, he engaged in a fight against Disney Corp.

Before Trump figured out that Disney had gone woke, Trump attacked Gov. DeSantis. To be fair, Trump didn't criticize DeSantis until after criticizing Disney. In his post on Truth Social, Trump said "Disney has become a Woke and Disgusting shadow of its former self, with people actually hating it. Must go back to what it once was, or the “market” will do irreparable damage. This all happened during the Governorship of 'Rob' DeSanctimonious. Instead of complaining now, for publicity reasons only, he should have stopped it long ago. Would have been easy to do - Still is!"

This 'revelation' didn't happen until after Trump had criticized Gov. DeSantis in a different Truth Social post. In that Trump post, Trump said "DeSanctus is being absolutely destroyed by Disney. His original P.R. plan fizzled, so now he’s going back with a new one in order to save face. Disney’s next move will be the announcement that no more money will be invested in Florida because of the Governor - In fact, they could even announce a slow withdrawal or sale of certain properties, or the whole thing. Watch! That would be a killer. In the meantime, this is all so unnecessary, a political STUNT! Ron should work on the squatter MESS!"

It's pretty complicated trying to follow Trump's thinking on Disney. Tina Descovich, the founder of Moms for Liberty, doesn't have any difficulty figuring out who's acted on principle:

A little less than 4 minutes into this video, Descovich said of Gov. DeSantis "He takes action. You know, we are tired in our country and in our state of spineless leaders who change their mind, who flip-flop, who go with the flow. What we saw with Gov. DeSantis is he looked at facts and he made decisions even though they were unpopular." That's the definition of leadership. Trump's leaderhip is transactional, not steadfast. Trump's criticisms have been all over the place. One minute, Gov. DeSantis "is being absolutely destroyed by Disney." Two months later, Trump finally realizes that Disney is a woke corporation that isn't worthy of tons of corporate welfare and self-governance.

What's obvious is that Trump will say anything to attack Gov. DeSantis. That's proof that he fights dirty and that he'll turn on anyone at anytime. After you've thought things through, it isn't confusing anymore. Donald Trump isn't trustworthy. It doesn't take long to think things through with Gov. DeSantis. While he isn't perfect, he's trustworthy and he's fighting for the right principles.

That's pretty simple, isn't it?

Yesterday, Maria Bartiromo interrogated Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday Morning Futures. The first half of the interview, Bartiromo asked policy questions. Gov. DeSantis showed his understanding of the issues and presented his solutions on everything from China, inflation and growing the economy. The first reply he had was to cut spending. His next reply was to open energy production. Third, he talked about the importance of increasing productivity, which he correctly said is the best way to eliminate inflation.
