Is Enes Kanter Freedom the biggest U.S. patriot?

Sunday night, I watched a special featuring former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom titled "The Price and Splendor of Freedom," a special documentary dedicated to exploring his life and his love for America. Earlier this weekend, Kanter Freedom appeared on Fox & Friends Weekend, where he teased a possible congressional run.

The thought of having Congressman Freedom "from the free state of Florida" excites me to no end. What's sad is that Turkish-born Kanter-Freedom appreciates the U.S. Constitution more than most Democrats. That thought doesn't excite me whatsoever. Another thing that excites me is another foreign-born patriot. This patriot's name is Elon Musk. We'll return to Mr. Musk in a minute. Let's finish talking about Kanter Freedom first.

While getting interviewed by Fox & Friends Weekend hosts, Freedom said "I am having a conversation with people. Obviously, it's a process. I am just trying to find the right place where it's warm, obviously… I really like Florida." Later in that interview, Freedom "also called out the Biden administration for its alleged weakness toward entities like China and Turkey, particularly after the latter placed a bounty on his head for criticizing the Turkish government's disregard for basic human rights."

Here's Freedom's interview with Cain, Campos-Duffy and Hegseth:

Here's what Freedom told told Campos-Duffy, Hegseth and Cain:
I talk about how lucky and how blessed we have it in this country because I know that some of my teammates love to criticize America, but I talk a lot about what's happening on the other side and how blessed we are in this beautiful country.
Those who've tasted authoritarianism thirst for freedom. Those who've grown up in the U.S. don't always appreciate what we've got. Which brings us to our other foreign-born patriot, aka Elon Musk.

Musk was already the richest man in the world when Twitter suspended the Babylon Bee's account. Before that, Musk knew that Twitter and other social media companies were involved in censoring conservative or center-right accounts and stories. Here's part of Musk's interview with Bill Maher:

"I mean, you have talked about this woke mind virus in really apocalyptic terms. You should explain why you don’t think it’s hyperbole to say things like it's 'pushing civilization towards suicide' — first of all, what is the woke mind virus? — 'and if we don’t deal with this, nothing else can get done.' Tell me why you think that?"

"So I think we need to be very cautious about anything that is anti-meritocratic and anything that results in the suppression of free speech," Musk stated. "So, you know, those are two other aspects of the woke mind virus that I think are very dangerous is that it’s anti-meritocratic. You can't question things. Even the questioning is bad."

"It’s bizarre that we’ve come to this point where — free speech used to be a left or a liberal value, and yet we see from the ‘left’ a desire to actually censor. And that seems crazy. I mean, I think we should be extremely concerned about anything that undermines the First Amendment. There's a reason for the First Amendment…people came from countries where they could not speak freely and where saying certain things would get you thrown into prison. And they were like, well, we don’t want that here. And by the way, in many parts of the world, including parts of the world that people might think are relatively similar to the United States, the speech laws are draconian," he warned.

Enes Kanter Freedom and Elon Musk appreciate the Constitution and the Bill of Rights more than Joe Biden, the FBI and the DOJ. That's a stunning, though frighteningly accurate thought. How did we dig ourselves into this predicament? How do we dig ourselves out of this predicament? Will a pair of foreign-born patriots help dig us out of this mess? That would be both astonishing and fitting, especially considering how Alexis de Tocqueville contributed to understanding "Democracy in America."

Let's hope that Mssrs. Freedom and Musk enrich the U.S. constitutional republic in a way that would make Alexis de Tocqueville proud. PS- Kanter Freedom isn't the biggest U.S. foreign-born patriot. He's tied with Musk in their appreciation of the U.S.
