Is this proof that Joe Biden prefers Marxist dictatorships?

When Joe Biden took office, he picked up where President Obama left off in his war on fossil fuels. It isn't like President Obama was kind to the fossil fuel industry. The fracking revolution happened in spite of Obama, not because of him.

Way back in 2008, then-candidate Obama said "You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know; Under my plan of a cap-and-trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it, whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers."

Joe Biden seeks to outdo his old boss in terms of waging war against fossil fuels. According to this op-ed, "President Biden is showing 'outright hostility' to the U.S. oil industry by turning to foreign countries — including adversaries — to supply America's energy needs rather than domestic producers, according to experts and industry insiders." Appearing on Larry Kudlow's program last summer, former Energy Secretary Rick Perry said that Biden shouldn't send envoys to Venezuela. Instead, he should send envoys to Oklahoma, Texas and North Dakota.

Apparently, Biden is more interested in enriching despotic dictators than he's interested in enriching U.S. companies. Check out this oldie-but-goodie:

The U.S. is on track to receive nearly 3 million barrels of crude oil from Venezuela this month, Reuters reported. That's because oil producer Chevron is shipping more than 100,000 barrels per day of Venezuelan crude to the U.S. under a license from the Treasury Department.

Last year, the Biden administration authorized Chevron to expand production in Venezuela and to resume exports of Venezuelan oil. Venezuela, an OPEC member, has been under U.S. sanctions, with its oil frozen for the past several years, due to international outcry over the conduct of Venezuela's socialist government.

The question is simple. Why don't Obama and Biden want these domestic energy companies to succeed? Why are they intent on punishing these energy companies? Then there's this:
According to experts, the administration's efforts to increase Venezuela's oil experts really kicked into high gear over the summer, when Saudi Arabia rebuffed Biden's efforts to get the country to increase the oil supply.

"Unfortunately, when the Saudis stiff-armed the administration on production increases last summer, it left them with very few options for the type of crude many US refineries need — particularly with the rapid draws from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve," Tim Stewart, president of the U.S. Oil and Gas Association, told Fox News Digital. "So last fall, they turned to the Marxist regime for an assist."

Here's another question. Why is Biden opting to purchase fossil fuels from Marxists? Why is he propping up these dictators? For a guy who's frequently whining about the difficult shape that democracies are in, Biden certainly has done his part to help Marxist dictatorships.
