Donald Trump visits East Palestine
Characteristically, Trump met with first responders on the ground dealing with the disaster. Whatever one thinks of Donald Trump, and Lord knows that I'm not always a fan, it's impossible to be fair and not be impressed with Trump's problem-solving abilities. First, he meets with the on-the-ground experts, then he supports the first responders while gathering information from them. In this instance, Trump gathered his information while paying for first responders' meals at the local McDonalds.
Compare that with the Biden administration's lack of fire in fixing East Palestine. First, the Administration didn't even show up until after Biden's SOTU Address. Next, high-ranking Biden administration officials were nowhere to help offer assistance. Trump addressed that while speaking to community leaders:
Trump wondered why FEMA was hesitant to commit to East Palestine, but had a reason why FEMA has since decided to help. "When I announced that I was coming, they changed their tune. It was an amazing phenomenon," Trump said. Initially, FEMA was not called in for support. Over the weekend, members of the agency arrived. It isn't difficult to figure out that FEMA reacted to the political situation. It's obvious that they didn't rush to East Palestine to start the clean-up process. Had that been the Biden administration's highest priority, they would've arrived in East Palestine 2 weeks earlier.
It's important to remember an axiom that I coined years ago. Here's what I said: Democrats will always do the right thing -- when it's their option left. Check this out:
One final thing worth noting: JD Vance has shown outstanding leadership skills throughout this catastrophe. This video went viral instantly:
