Bombshell: additional classified documents found at Joe Biden's Wilmington home

The bombshells keep hitting home. Specifically speaking, DOJ investigators searched Joe Biden's Wilmington home. DOJ investigators were accompanied by Biden's personal attorneys and attorneys from the White House Counsel's office.

Bob Bauer, Biden's personal attorney, issued a statement Saturday evening, saying "At the outset of this matter, the President directed his personal attorneys to fully cooperate with the Department of Justice. Accordingly, having previously identified and reported to DOJ a small number of documents with classification markings at the President’s Wilmington home, and in the interest of moving the process forward as expeditiously as possible, we offered to provide prompt access to his home to allow DOJ to conduct a search of the entire premises for potential vice-presidential records and potential classified material."

Saying that Biden allowed the DOJ to conduct a search of the entire premises" is spin on steroids. Once the second and third set of documents were found, in Biden's garage and inside Biden's Wilmington home, the DOJ could've gotten a search warrant in a New York minute. Be that as it may, that isn't the bombshell. This is:

"DOJ took possession of materials it deemed within the scope of its inquiry, including six items consisting of documents with classification markings and surrounding materials, some of which were from the President’s service in the Senate and some of which were from his tenure as Vice President," Bauer said. "DOJ also took for further review personally handwritten notes from the vice-presidential years."
This NewsNation report sums things up nicely:

At the end of last weekend, they had found 4 distinct sets of classified documents. The first set of classified documents were found in the UPenn-Biden Center. The next set of classified documents were found in the garage at Biden's Wilmington home. The third set of classified documents were found inside Biden's Wilmington home. The fourth set of classified documents were found in the library inside Biden's Wilmington home. This marks the fifth set of classified documents found in Biden's possession.

This time, though, the classified documents included classified documents from his time in the Senate. In related news, Ron Klain has announced that he's leaving his post as White House Chief of Staff in the coming weeks. This is still a fluid story so stay tuned into it. I'd expect there to be additional FBI searches in the coming days.
