Joe Biden's, Democrats', plan to turn the US into a third-world nation
Without that reliability, people's quality of life won't live up to an industrialized nation's standards. Europe is already dealing with this thanks to their ill-advised 'commitment' to renewable energy. Thanks to that ill-advised decision, Europe is burning more coal this year than in previous years. Europe's commitment to green energy has made them major polluters instead of leaders to a cleaner planet.
It isn't just Europe whose environmental policies are ill-advised. U.S. environmental policies need a major overhaul, too. Bill Glahn has written this article on the difficulties we're experiencing here in the U.S. It's long past time to squash the foolishness of a zero-emission energy policy. We're at least 50 years away from that.
Glahn's article includes an email which "references PJM, the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland power grid, which actually serves a swatch of America stretching from northern Illinois to eastern North Carolina." Here's that email:
There were plenty of warnings. The fact is that the push for more renewables (wind, solar) and shutting down conventional power sources (coal, natural gas, and nuclear) has left the grid more vulnerable than ever. Even in the heart of coal country. It's irrelevant if you have the natural resources if you've put them off-limits. The TVA-NES (Tennessee Valley Authority and Nashville Electric System) had to limit energy usage until Christmas morning, thanks directly to the Biden administration's insistence on relying on renewables: The Democrats' environmental policies (they can't really be called energy policies because of all the shortages) are based on what Democrats hope will happen, not on what's capable of being delivered to the nationwide grid. The Democrats shout 'follow the science' when talking about COVID. When they talk about the environment, Democrats shout 'Trust the ideology.' Sometime soon, people will tell Democrats that Democrats can live on renewables while we live comfortably with fossil fuels and nuclear power. If Democrats trust in renewable energy, let them use it.
