Hillary Clinton's censorship cartel

There was a time when Democrats were considered zealous free speech advocates. Those days are gone, thanks in part to the dumbing down of Democrats' debating skills. The last great Democrat debaters were Bill Clinton and Daniel Patrick Moynihan.

It's therefore ironic that one of the fiercest pro-censorship advocates is Hillary Clinton. It's ironic because she's married to Bill Clinton. It's ironic from the standpoint that HRC replaced Daniel Patrick Moynihan in the Senate.

Prof. Jonathan Turley highlights HRC is involved in this censorship movement in this post. Prof. Turley wrote "Now, reports indicate that Clinton has unleashed her allies in the corporate world to coerce Musk to restore censorship policies or face bankruptcy. The effort of the Clinton-linked “Accountable Tech” reveals the level of panic in Democratic circles that free speech could be restored on one social media platform. The group was open about how losing control over Twitter could result in a loss of control over social media generally. For Clinton, it is an 'all-hands on deck' call for censorship. She previously called upon foreign governments to crackdown on the free speech of Americans on Twitter."

It's great to see Republicans fighting the Democrats on this important issue. The next important thing to determine why Democrats aren't debating the issues. Though I don't know this for certain, I think part of the reason is because Democrats simply got lazy. Democrats rule the roost on campuses. It's possible for progressives/Marxists to spend their entire college career without ever getting their worldview challenged. Without that conflict, Democrats' debating skills atrophy.

We have been discussing how Clinton and others have called on foreign countries to pass censorship laws to prevent Elon Musk from restoring free speech protections on Twitter. It seems that, after years of using censorship-by-surrogates in social media companies, Democratic leaders seem to have rediscovered good old-fashioned state censorship.

Accountable Tech led an effort to send a letter to top Twitter advertisers to force Musk to accept 'non-negotiable' requirements for censorship. General Motors was one of the first to pull its advertising funds to stop free speech restoration on the site.

The next time you vote for Democrat politicians, know that you're voting for censorship of yourself. Just like with Cancel Culture, it's just a matter of time before you aren't pure enough for the Censorship Cartel.
