Alejandro Mayorkas' double-talk is exposed during hearing ... again

DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is a world-class propagandist. That's perfectly clear after his testimony to the House Homeland Security Committee. Secretary Mayorkas' double-speak skills were on full display when he answered Rep. Dan Bishop's question. Rep. Bishop asked Secretary Mayorkas if the border was closed.

Secretary Mayorkas replied "Yes, and we are working day in and day out to enhance its security, congressman. What I would say is that we see significant criminal threats coming from south of the border, whether it’s guns, drugs, money, violence, we see transnational criminal organizations that send their drugs and street gangs here to distribute it. And that contributes to violent crime here."

If the border is secure, how can you "see significant criminal threats coming from south of the border?" That's like saying that the fire is extinguished but more firefighters are needed to stop the fire.

The hottest moment was likely when Rep. Mayra Flores, (R-TX) criticized Secretary Mayorkas, saying "As someone who lives the reality of our southern border every day, you say that the border was secure. You are lying to the American people." It's impossible to ignore Rep. Flores' statement. Here's why:

Flores, whose husband is a Border Patrol agent, said morale among agents is low. She mentioned two agents who committed suicide recently as evidence the department is failing its personnel. "In no other department is a mental health crisis more visible," Flores said.

Let's be succinct about Secretary Mayorkas. If the House impeaches anyone in the next 2 years, Mayorkas and Merrick Garland should top that list. I'd put them far ahead of Joe Biden, who is just a bumbling, mumbling hair-sniffing pervert. Most important, it's time to push Mayorkas out of DHS.

Yesterday, Maria Bartiromo interrogated Gov. Ron DeSantis on Sunday Morning Futures. The first half of the interview, Bartiromo asked policy questions. Gov.
