Adults now talking about Joe Biden's energy policies

It's long past time for the adults in the energy industry to start talking about Joe Biden's incoherent energy policies. The latest to speak out is Neil Chatterjee, the chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, aka FERC, during the Trump administration. Chatterjee spoke about energy issues in this interview with Newsmax.

In the interview, Chatterjee said "We've got a couple of situations that are coming together right now to create a problematic situation. You've got tight supplies. You've got increased natural gas prices. We're dealing with the effects of the war on Ukraine, but we also are constraining our own energy supplies here at home."

Why we're restricting our production of oil and natural gas is inexplicable and indefensible. The jobs are high paying union jobs. Production of oil and natural gas is anti-inflationary, too. Finally, the price drops help families' paychecks stretch much farther.

The article continues, saying "Chatterjee added that the northeastern part of the United States is at risk because, for years, environmentalists pushed back against pipeline development." Then there's this:

This is "ironic," he added, because gas is being brought instead from Russia, which means it must be imported by tankers, or consumers must burn oil, "which is far worse for the environment."
In this interview with Newsmax, Chatterjee raises lots of questions that the Biden administration doesn't have answers for:

What happens when we get to the bottom of the SPR? What if oil never gets to $70/bbl? Most importantly, why aren't we learning from Europe's mistakes? We've literally got centuries of energy resources underneath our feet. Why shouldn't we turn that into our economic and national security advantage?

It isn't just Chairman Chatterjee speaking out. Power the Future is speaking out, too. Check out Power the Future's blueprint for energy independence. We have the resources underneath our feet. We don't need the Saudis, Russians or Venezuelans. It's time we started dictating terms to Putin. It's time to have him worry about what we'll do to him. We're the superpower, not Russia.

Finally, it's time for Republicans and people in northern-tier states to put pressure on Democrats. The Democrats' Green New Deal stupidity needs to be ridiculed. Republicans have a prosperity plan because Republicans want energy independence. Democrats, like Jimmy Carter from the 1970s, want us wearing sweaters more often. Remember this?

CARTER: We must face the fact that the energy shortage is permanent. There is no way we can solve it quickly. But if we all cooperate and make modest sacrifices, if we learn to live thriftily and the importance of helping our neighbors, then we can find ways to adjust.
This was called the Sweater Speech but it's the first 'New Normal Speech.' The energy shortage, we were told, was permanent. We've proven that's BS. We proved it with Reagan, then Trump. Both times, it only took the political will to open the spigots

The next time Joe Biden or KJP tell you he's doing everything within their power to keep gas prices cheap, tell them that they're lying. Next, highlight the fact that they haven't opened the nation's spigots.
