Indicting Joe Biden administration, energy independence edition

Ryan Lizza's latest edition of Politico Playbook is quite the indictment of the Biden administration's energy policies. The article quoted "one Democratic strategist" as saying "It’s pretty simple. People want to see the president fixing shit and fixing the things that are the most important in their lives — and gas prices is one of them. You have to demonstrate that you’re taking on the issues that matter."

That's quite the indictment of the Biden administration's energy policies. The Biden administration's energy policies have been terribly mismanaged to the point that New Hampshire is worried about natural gas shortages and power outages. That certainly isn't heading in the right direction.

Philip Verleger, the head of economic consulting firm PKVerleger and senior fellow at the Niskanen Center, said "Investors look at expected returns. Wall Street isn't listening to the White House. For the American Petroleum Institute and others to say if the White House would just encourage oil and gas drilling, all this investor money would come forward. … I’m trying to think of another adjective instead of ‘bullshit."

Ron Klain is putting out the message that the Administration is doing what the people want in terms of energy:

Here's Klain's complaint:
"Republicans said that the President needs to do something about gas prices and then we did something about gas prices and they said 'well, don't do that'. So it's very difficult for me to take the criticism seriously."
Republicans didn't say 'do something' about higher gas prices. Republicans told Democrats to return to President Trump's policies that produced U.S. energy independence and U.S. energy dominance. That's because Republicans wanted to put the U.S. in the strongest position possible in terms of energy security and national security.

The Biden administration has thrown away the U.S.'s position of setting energy prices because, in Larry Kudlow's words, the U.S. under Trump had "the whip hand." The U.S. had enough natural gas and oil to dictate world oil prices. Jennifer Granholm, Biden's Energy Secretary, says that presidents don't set energy prices. She's partially right. They set energy policies, which is what Trump did. That, in turn, helped set the market prices.

It's time to elect Republicans so they can drive down gas prices and shrink inflation. This isn't the least bit complicated. Finally, Democrats are on the wrong side of this gigantic issue going into the midterm elections. Throw the idiots out.
