Scott Jensen vs. Tim Walz, Feeding Our Future edition

Scott Jensen just sent a high-speed missile across Tim Walz's bow. He's calling for an investigation into the Feeding Our Future scandal. He's also calling for "the resignation of the Minnesota Department of Education commissioner over her handling of the situation."

This takes the FOF scandal to the next level. Last week, Gov. Walz, the corrupt DFL governor of Minnesota, attacked Judge John Guthmann while calling for an investigation into Guthmann. Friday night, Judge Guthmann issued a statement contradicting Gov. Walz.

At a State Capitol news conference, Jensen said "I’m going to ask that we call for a special investigator to give a report by October 17th so that Minnesotans can chew on it and then at the debates on October 18th and 28th we can have a conversation including that topic. It is clear from incontrovertible evidence that Tim Walz and his administration have engaged in a cover-up. Someone’s not telling the truth."

This cuts to the heart of the Walz-Guthmann matter:

The Department of Education suspended payments to FOF based on a "serious deficiencies" letter it issued to FOF on March 30, 2021. As a result, FOF filed a motion asking Judge Guthmann to order the Department of Education to resume payments and to pay sanctions. Judge Guthmann never ordered the Department of Education to resume payments to FOF in April 2021, or at any other time.

Thereafter, the Department of Education voluntarily resumed making payments to FOF. The Department of Education was not ordered by the court to do so. After the Department resumed voluntary payments, counsel for the Department of Education wrote the court asking that FOF’s motion for sanctions based on non-payment be denied as moot because the Department voluntarily resumed payments.

It's safe to say that Matt Birk was justifiably fired up about the FOF scandal:

It's fair to say that Dr. Jensen made some strong, corroborated accusations against Tim Walz. Dr. Jensen laid out 3 specific lies against Gov. Walz. (They start 7:10 into the video.) Dr. Jensen then said that "I 'think this is a day that should be somber for all of us. This is not about politics. This is about what good government looks like." Clearly, this isn't what good government looks like.

Tim Walz has frequently passed the buck throughout his administration. This time, Minnesota is watching. What happens next is up to the voters. If we don't fire Tim Walz, we'll get substandard government. At that point, we'll have ourselves to blame along with Tim Walz.
